Re:

I cant add any games with 2.1 versions on my PSP-1000, running 5.50. It freezes then shutdowns. Adding game works on 2.0 and besides that issue it runs fine, playing it for couple of days now This was a problem with the development builds from the buildbot for a long time. This was fixed recently. ...

Re: Touchscreen calibration way off (Lakka-Switch)

BTW the next official development build (for Horizon OS on the Switch), from June 14 or 15 or so, will have an additional touch mode option. You will be able to go to options->controls and enable or disable "touchpad mouse mode" there. When disabled, the pointer will jump to finger always....

Re: Lands of Lore controls

Do you mean Joycon or Touch controls? Concerning Joycon controls: Remapping Joycon controls is not possible at the moment. I will try to implement an optional control scheme similar to what exists on the PSP port. One would press a combo like R+L+Start or so to toggle between the default controls an...

Re: Touchscreen calibration way off (Lakka-Switch)

This is a Lakka implementation issue. Lakka-Switch is a Linux distribution for Switch that runs a version of Retroarch. It runs a libretro core of ScummVM, which is not supported by the ScumVM team. You have to talk to the Retroarch or Lakka-Switch devs for support. This thread is only about the nat...

Information about the Switch port

Information about the Switch port can be found on the ScummVM wiki page here: https://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Nintendo_Switch The latest Switch version is always available from the official buildbot, updated daily. Just click on "download latest development version" in the Switch row he...

Requesting forum for Nintendo Switch port

Hello all,
since the buildbot is now producing Switch builds, can one of the administrators create a subforum for it? The Vita and other platforms already have their own subforum.

Re: Port of ScummVM to the Nintendo Switch

The latest executable version of ScummVM for Switch is one that I compiled from git source plus Switch port PR here: https://github.com/rsn8887/scummvm/releases Of course, once the Switch port code is merged, the buildbot can be setup to automatically build Switch versions. Then, the manual builds l...

Re: General MIDI SoundFont support

There is no port of the fluidsynth library for the Vita. I don't think anybody is working on it either, since it has a lot of dependencies AFAIK.

Re: MT-32 emulation

I tested this a while back. The Vita is just not fast enough for MT-32 emulation. The sound is extremely choppy and the games run very slow when MT-32 is enabled. That’s why I disabled it.

The Nintendo Switch can run MT-32 Emulation just fine.

It should work, because I am already using the exact same toolchain as the buildbot (I updated the buildbot toolchain at some point not too long ago). But we'll see.

I made a few tests on Vita, using latest ScummVM github code. It is perfectly fine for now to just disable lastexpress and keep all other unstable engines. Lastexpress is one of the largest unstable engines. Disabling it prevents the crash on startup that was reported here. Note another large unstab...

Yes, -Os optimization removed the need for the hack, but startrek might have pushed it over the edge again.

I think the star trek engine is already playable. Maybe other, unplayable engines should be disabled instead?

[Enhancement] Support "1st person RPG control mode"

The PSP port has this ingenious "1st person RPG control mode", detailed here: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/PlayStation_Portable It is an alternate mapping for EOTB and similar games (works great for Xeen, too). It allows strafing with L/R and turning with the dpad. Since we have globa...

On the Vita, only the keypad keys are mapped to the dpad, not the cursor keys. E.g. dpad left is "keypad 4." This is because most adventure games use the keypad. It also enables better diagonals by mapping R + dpad left to "keypad 7" for diagonal motion.

Please try a clean install: Please rename or delete scumm folder, and install a completely fresh folder with all content from 2.0.0 release zip. Also, please rename or delete scummvm.ini from the root folder of your memory stick. Also you might try the latest improved development version here: https...
