Dawn? I think you mean Brynn here? That of course could be possible, I remember having visited the temple when the walking speed changed. It seems that I'm lucky though, the walking speed is still fast in my savegame even with the current CVS :) Would be a nice feature as well IMO, if you could impl...

Well I'd go with automagic, self-adapting, generic adventure-game support. This way you don't have to get the source/reverse engineer, port to scummvm, debug, etc. everytime a new game shall be supported. ...the IM feature is even better though. I'd trade that one in for the above! Nothing's as good...

Is there any explanation that Brandon suddenly started to move faster later in the game? Everything else is at normal speed. Not that it worries me, I'm actually glad that I don't have to stare at Brandon crawling over the screen :) I can submit a bug report if you want me to, I still have some save...

Well then there are two options: urge the user to get the necessary libraries by himself (which is his/her problem then), or provide a converted version - which would require a permission by the copyright owner. Anyhow, I don't think we'd have to worry about that anytime soon... :)

That's indeed a nice project, bringing back all those sshock-related memories, but ... it's not what Freddo meant, he was talking about the engine that powered the second instance of that wonderful series (aka. System Shock 2), as well as Thief 1&2. Still, for a moment you really got my heart bu...

It's really awesome how fast development has progressed over the last weeks. Congratulations LH, you're doing a fine job :)

Thanks for this insightful explanation, though.

So seriously, how much would it cost to make clear the legal status of said sources? Maybe we should start a fundraise for that ;)

Keep in mind that neither WMP nor WMA are free codecs, and there are many platforms which don't support these formats. As ScummVM is supposed to be portable (and stay that way), it's not favorable. Of course it would be possible to add in optional support in the Windows port, but that'd require some...

Maybe it would be an idea to create a "Duplicate Threads" subforum ("Trashcan" is too close to "Junkyard"), threads that disregard forum rules and/or the FAQ could be moved there, locked, with a "read the FAQ (blah)"-like comment. That'd be better than just de...

Yeah, that's really an odd question to ask here, the response even more so. It's kinda like going to the car mechanic to have "that odd sound" checked, and he tells you to reattach your lose bumper with a chewing gum :| No offense, though. It's always okay to ask. And VDMSound comes in rea...

Let's hope for it.

hubssc: did you try the current cvs? There seems to have been some progress with the code so that at least the FM-Towns demos worked better. Let us know if the error persists.

IIRC the return-to-gui feature was discussed a while ago and was planned to implement "some time in the future". About the joystick part, I have no idea. One could think of a joystick to mouse mapper, similar to the way you could use the keyboard arrow keys instead of a mouse in LA games. ...
