In other words, it would be very simple to add these versions to ScumVM? The program should be able to use the .exe instead of the 000 if it just knew at what offset the data is placed?

That is the full game. Buy it and you can activate it straight away without downloading it again.

Bummer?

Doesn't this mean that they actually cares somewhat about these games and how they are presented to the buyers? Isn't that a good, that they are working on and improving the SCUMM engine for possible future use?

I "acquired" a copy of the Wii version and extracted the cutscenes for comparison. Apart from the mentioned different intro, there are a number of other differences that can be seen: *All clips are now full-resolution (640*400) instead of 640*200. *The clips are 30fps instead of 12fps. Som...

Does the new version for DS/Wii use the old movies, new versions of the old movies from the original masters or entirely new ones? In either of the two last cases, would it be possible to use these files with ScummVM instead of the originals?

Would be nice, those questions are irritating as you don't know the answers to several of them if you haven't lived in the US. If that really was a "feature" of the original interpreter I don't see any reason to why it shouldn't be in ScummVM...

Oh, didn't know that... Haven't seen it anywhere online.

Is there any extra content on that disc? I'm just curious as to why they would distribute it on a dvd.

So the EULA problem is about transferring the games to the iPhone, rather than running them? So theoretically ScummVM could come pre-loaded with the freeware compatible games or the original copyright-holders could release their games with a ScummVM wrapper?

I just noticed that Frotz was just released in the AppStore. Since this application is similar to ScummVM in some ways, I wondered if this is in any way an indication that Apple do allow this kind of apps, regardless of their maze-like terms.

Q: Free games from Al Lowe?

I recently noticed that allowe.com, the official website of Al Lowe, offers free downloads of some old adventure games. These includes The Black Cauldron, Donald Duck's Playground and Troll's Tale. Needless to say, most of these games are playable with ScummVM. My question is to the legal state of t...
