if you're talking about the german compressed BS1 videos, I think those were done by me, with the same settings as the English ones

basically I don't see much difference to the (also compressed) smacker files

where do you want to extract the zip file to? like you said every kilobyte is prescious (even memory I guess) - and zip files need to be fully decompressed to be of any use

wouldn't it be possible to "compress" the file and replace all samples with empty data (ie 0 byte samples) to strip the sound and keep ScummVM happy?

NSIS is just the software used to make the installer I think they also fixed the German translation error between 0.7.1 and 0.8.0 where the german said he's 21m above the ground, and the english ver said it's 120m (that's not in the datafile but a hack in scummvm afaik) The zip file with the html ma...

simplest way would be to pick up BS1 for PC somewhere - I got it like 3 times now, cheapest one cost me 50 (Euro)cent at a 2ndhand store adding support for the Playstation version might be more work than it's worth - afaik PS1 has 320x240 resolution whereas the PC version is 640x480 already. It coul...

BASS Windows Installer updated

I updated the Windows BASS bundle with 0.8.0 and updated datafiles, I hope I picked the right forum for announcing that :-)

Beneath a Steel Sky is available in English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and Swedish.

They managed to put all languages into one release file, pretty cool stuff. (why didn't LA do that? Why can't we easily switch languages in Windows?)

doubt it

COMI has a 640x480 resolution, and I think the best PalmOS has is 480x320 - and afaik downscaling is not supported

multi-cd games aren't handled very well on the original disks, copy the content of both CDs to your harddisk (either in one directory, or use the "extra path" option to point to the directory with the 2nd CD)

Thinking of the old ScummVM forums people frequently replied to the wrong post, but then again the sf.net forum system is a mess. My favourite board layout is that from retrogames (like at http://www.retrogames.com/cgi-bin/wwwthreads/wwwthreads.pl?action=list&Board=retrosupport ) why isn't it po...
