That'd take some time to implement. I've compiled a custom ELF for you, which will always start in NTSC instead of detecting the console type.
This is the ELF file only. Use the other archive and simply replace this file.
Enjoy :D

oh, and if in doubt, I'd always try with CD-Rs. They're not only cheaper but also WAY easier to get to work.

Error code -203 simply means that the file wasn't found. Did you forget to add it to the cd? Or did you add it to a different path than the root directory? :) It could also mean that the PS2 is having problems reading the CD correctly. Maybe you should try a different CD-R brand and/or burn at a low...

Did you copy the ireland.clu into the same directory as all the other files? What operating system do you use? If your O/S is case sensitive for filenames, you have to make sure that the files are named consistently like e.g. IRELAND.CLU or ireland.clu. "IRELAND.clu" or even "IreLand....

Which BS1 version are you trying to use?
An old PC release? A Mac release? Or the Sold-out release which is shipped with ScummVM?

Which operating system do you use? Linux? Windows? Mac OS? Which Beneath a Steel Sky version did you try, the floppy or the CD version? Which ScummVM version do you use? I'd suspect it's a problem with your sound drivers/settings that makes ScummVM crash... but I'm not sure. Did you try any other ga...

I've only tried the full version of ComI on the PS2, not sure why the demo lacks videos and sound...

Your Sony HDD should work. The most common attempt to copy game data to the HDD is probably LaunchELF's ftp server. Be aware that it's not too simple or intuitive.

"unable to read RTC time" doesn't mean too much, either your ps2's battery is dead or you didn't configure the time in the ps2 bios at all. Anyway, that's not important for using ScummVM. So, what do you mean by "it still didn't work"? What happens when you click "add game&q...

Well, the bin+cue thing is made to be used with a cd recording program that supports images, apparently the windows xp recording thing can't handle them. You can just download a demo version of Nero or a similar tool to use them... Or you can ignore the make_iso and bin+cue thing completely and try ...

I have tried copying the scummvm folder with the monkey island 2 folder inside it and the scummvm.bin all into the cd and it didn't work. I also tried copying only the scummvm.bin file and it still didn't work What exactly do you mean by that? You aren't supposed to burn a cd with the bin as a norm...

Ogg/Vorbis is supported. But as a general rule of thumb, it takes way more CPU power than mp3, so you might want to use mp3, expeccially for later games.
The only game I tested with Ogg/Vorbis compression was Sam&Max and it worked perfectly fine.
