Is knakos presently active in the scummvm team? His last post in this forum was two months ago?

The track31.cda turned out to be quite large (31373KB using powerISO) but I was unable to identify it after installing it. After instalment most of the files has the extension *.als. Hopefully some of the dev people will get anything more than white noise out of this file :) (me, I'm just curious :) )

Well I know that MI4 is unsupported, and I don't even own it (and as is evident from my post I was mentioning MI1&2). That being said, is it feasible that the work on Grim Fandango could make MI4 compatible? I think they use the same engine? Thank you for the rename tip fingolfin! I did not thin...

Naming convention in game list in the scummVM program

When opening scummVM, the game list displays the proper titles of Monkey Island games 1&2, but this leads to the games being separated by other games in the list. I assume that the developers has coded in the proper titles, since the naming of the game folders differ from what's visible in the g...

WinCE should actually use AdLib not MIDI. Kyra3 only uses digital music, so it shouldn't have any AdLib related problems ;-) Well, I have tried AdLib, but the sound effects in the kyra games freezes up on my scummVM CE version anyway (scummVM CE 0.12). Examples from kyra1: -Walking W from the house...

The PC version of scummVM 0.12 does not behave badly soundwise on my laptop when processing kyra1 and kyra2. The MIDI problems persists, in the CE port of scummVM 0.12. The music hangs in certain situations and can only be unstuck by turning the sound and music off and on again, which certainly subt...

Hmm, someone gave me a ring on my TyTN II whilst I was playing sword1, using 0.12.0 When I i tried to restore from my savegames they were all gone! They do show up when browsing the storage card folder, but scummVM does not recognise them. They must have been corrupted due to the abrupt shutdown due...

@fingolfin:

When will the next stable version be released?

It would be nice if Discworld 2 support could be included (if it doesn't delay the next version by months).

I certainly look forward to Discworld support in the next official release :)

Thank you for a nice manual SirDave! I had troubles getting compression of Broken Sword 1 to work, following the manual, using the 0.12 version of scummtools. When the SPEECH and MUSIC folders with CD1 and CD2 files was placed in the c:\scumm\ folder it would not recognise the folders and I got an e...

Well I'm 39, and still have fond memories of the text adventures made for machines like the Sinclair Spectrum 16/48K, and Commodore 64. Like the 1983 title "The Mutant Spiders". So I guess my "point-n-click" interest developed alongside the games themselves, when they replaced th...

I would also appreciate a feature like that. When I receive a phone call whilst playing, ScummVM closes and I have to reload from the autosave (slot0) file.
A tad impractical if one gets some phone calls during the day.

Re: Monkey3 and inventory problem in Windows Mobile (TyTN II

So how can I combine mallet and nails and bed without Threepwood moving away? It's enough to move the selected object off the inventory chest, no clicking necessary, but I don't know whether or not it's possible to do that in the Windows Mobile version of ScummVM... Well, if I try to move the highl...

Monkey3 and inventory problem in Windows Mobile (TyTN II)

I use a TyTN II pen-based Windows Mobile phone. I'm unable to make Threepwood stand still when trying to apply hammer and nails to the murphy bed in the Goodsoup hotel. The inventory obscures the whole of the bed. In order to get the things out of the inventory i click outside the inventory chest, o...
