What a long way ScummVM has come thanks to all the great individuals involved. Very informative, just one question: One page 2 the article mentions that Revolution gave you the source code for Lure of the Temptress - wasn't this re'd by dreammaster? I thought Revolution lost the source code? I was ...

Very fun remake. They've captured the playful spirit of the original. Like in the first room "That's no moon, it's on a space station". Loved it :).

Re: Multiplayer ScummVM idea

My idea is to be online with a friend on SKYPE but play a synched up Scummvm, so we could argue/discuss what the puzzle solutions are, what choices to make and so on. Each of us could click on the screen, so we'd have to co-operate so the character doesn't run back and forth. Sounds like fun. I don...

May The Force Be With You

No, not that force, it's Blue Force. Jake Ryan has just graduated from the Policy Academy, and it's up to you to guide his actions as he starts his police career. He'll quickly become involved in solving a series of crimes which, unbeknownst to him, are inextricably entwined with the murder of his p...

ENGLISH1.SMP is 229,863 KB and ENGLISH2.SMP is 102,889 KB. So should the program automatically change over to the 2nd part? Thanks Make sure you've also correctly renamed the two *.IDX and *.TXT files as well. Single you've indicated you have the English version, that should be ENGLISH1.IDX, ENGLIS...

I´ve added bugs 3422141 and 3422150, the second one doesn't seem to affect gameplay.
Apologies for the further problems. I've fixed both issues. Hopefully you won't have any further problems.

Thanks for the report. I've fixed the problem, so you should be able to continue playing with your existing savegames after downloading the next daily build.

See, this is what comes from not getting someone to a DOS port of ScummVM like was previously discussed.

May I ask a short question at this point? I am a collector (much like Collector) and try to have about all adventure games. I bought a CD version of Ringworld but it was essentially just a floppy version on a CD (like Blue Force). Does a real CD version exist (like for Return to Ringworld)? I haven...

Longcat wrote:Great, thanx for the answer and the datafiles listing:) I presume the game shortname is "ringworld"?
Thanks for reminding me. It's currently just 'ring', but I was going to rename it to 'ringworld' to avoid conflict with the in-progress Ring engine.

Is the first wave rerelease or other releases "better" or different from the original cd version? For all practical purposes, they're identical. From the top of my head, the only difference is that the original CD release has some bonus audio tracks with an interview with Larry Niven and ...

Re: The One Ring

Which data files are needed? You only need three files: ring.tlb, tsage.rlb, and tsage.cfg. Both music and sound effects have been implemented - I've tested both on the both the original floppy and CD releases, as well as on the later First Wave compilation CD version, and all three play music corr...
