Your version of King's Quest IV AGI should now be detected correctly with a current SVN version of ScummVM.

Just run it on the directory you dumped the disks to.

Re: Delphine Software International adventure games

I don't know if either of them is completable, but I hear there has been some progress on Operation Stealth . There's been progress on Operation Stealth, but it's not yet completable (You'll get stuck at the second arcade sequence, i.e. the labyrinth). Don't know about Cruise For A Corpse's status.

Re: King's Quest IV AGI

I recently purchased a copy of this game and transferred it to my DS. When SCUMM loads it, it recognizes it as a fanmade AGI / unknown game. It seems your version is not detected correctly. If the version is indeed original (and not e.g. a cracked one) then please could you give details about it? U...

Re: Future Wars (Delphine) Sony CD supported?

There exists a red book audio CD-ROM version of "Future Wars" (Delphine Software) released by Sony. I extracted all the audio tracks and converted them to *.OGG files named track1.ogg, track2.ogg ..... but it seems ScummVM doesn't recognize them. Is there any support for this version by S...

Currently it's not possible to complete Operation Stealth with ScummVM. So olafe, you will certainly get stuck at some point without a possibility of getting forward. Just so you know. And about the sound, it's almost better that you don't hear it :-) as the music support for Operation Stealth isn't...

It's a bit unfair to compare the highlights of the past few decades with the average games of today, though. Yep, I'm glad to be able to say that there are excellent games nowadays too. I'm just playing Mass Effect for the first time and it's a skillfully done game, best digital persons I've seen (...

Ok, it's good to know sources for sounds. And to know which other sound emulation may sound close to them (e.g. NAGI). Hearing examples from a real Tandy might be nice too. About the sfx channel, I think it's probably because currently the noise channel is simply made using the random number generat...

To start off: I'm not the author of the sound engine currently in ScummVM's AGI engine but I've worked on the still-not-very-functional Apple IIGS sound support and other things in ScummVM's AGI engine. Also I have no experience with a real Tandy machine, I played AGI games on a normal PC with DOS b...

Alright, the CD version of Future Wars has the AUTO00.PRC file "crypted" by having all its bytes rotated to the right by one. So I added a detection entry for this particular version of Future Wars to ScummVM's trunk and branch-0-12-0 (So support will be also in the next stable version of ...

Getting somewhere here... FWARS.EXE definitely does some bitfiddling with at least the AUTO00.PRC :-). So the file's *not* corrupted.

Interesting. Then the FWARS.EXE you have must somehow handle the AUTO00.PRC differently than ScummVM does... as your AUTO00.PRC looks like corrupted data to ScummVM currently.

Can you play the game without ScummVM i.e. using some emulator like DOSBox or Bochs + FreeDOS or just some plain old DOS machine if you have one lying around somewhere? I'd like to know because if the game *does* work then there has to be a routine in FWARS.EXE that handles the AUTO00.PRC differentl...

The AUTO00.PRC seems to be the culprit here or the way it's being parsed currently (There were no new opcodes used in the executable, I checked. PART01 unpacks alright too so it's not corrupted). Somehow parsing the AUTO00.PRC results in the engine thinking that there are some nice new opcodes to be...

Comparing to my floppy disk version of Future Wars that I bought back in the day there are a few notable differences: AUTO00.PRC, PART01 and FWARS.EXE files are different from my version. Your PART01 file is about ~5kB bigger than the one I've got. So there are some new resources included with your ...
