Musically Inspired, I agree that ideally we should have a checkbox that allows enabling/disabling undithering. In the meantime, I think about it like this: if the undithering was an opt-in option in the ini file, the average user would never find out about it. Since it's activated by default, those ...

Well put. I disagree with you - I love the feature myself - but I respect your opinion in the matter. I personally think dithering works when you have a high enough resolution such as 640x400 where the eye can't make out the details, but looks rather ugly on 320x200. I emailed the original artist on...

Really Musically, you hate undithering mode? I think it's beautiful. This was discussed elsewhere on the forums, but in my opinion it takes the SCI0 art (which isn't that great) and raises it to a new level (near-VGA quality). I find it a great pleasure to view the old SCI0 backgrounds with it, espe...

As far as I can tell, the Sierra Windows cursors were a result of the era: games were just beginning to be ported to Windows and getting the cursors to change colors would have been difficult to do if not impossible, so they did what little they could. It's funny that there's now a request for those...

Short tutorial for making PNG files on Windows: I recommend irfanview (google it). It's really easy. Press the 'Print Screen' button when there's something on screen you want to view on the PSP. Then go to irfanview and choose Paste. Select the area you want, then choose Image, Crop Selection (or ju...

Just noticed this thread.

Regarding the keyboard not being drawn, it sounds like the engine doesn't call the drawing code at that point. Not much we can do about that from the backend's perspective.

Oh wow you really went for the tallest image possible didn't you? :) Good job finding the limits of what it can handle though... I'll try to fix this issue when I get a chance. In the meantime, you may want to split up the image into several smaller images. It's pretty easy using e.g. irfanview (on ...

That would be extremely cool. Unfortunately I only have a PSP-1000 so I can't develop this code, but I agree it would be very neat. I'll take a look when I get a chance though, in case it's really simple. Thanks for the suggestion. You might also want to put the suggestion on the feature tracker so ...

I disabled building the Broken Sword 2.5 engine for now. Once buildbot finishes putting up a copy you should be able to try the image viewer.

Oops -- turns out Buildbot has been having issues with the PSP port ever since Broken Sword 2.5 was added. There won't be a version with which to test until we can work out the issues. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long :)

Hey Julien Great job on the engine! Looking very briefly at the AI section of the code, it seems like maybe it was a bit of overkill in Smoking Car's design, no? I got the impression that the game was a large theater, playing virtually the same way no matter what happens, and the only thing that cha...

We've discussed it briefly before Gus, but in my opinion the best solution for Android would be relative motion and a near-transparent button on-screen for right clicking (possibly in one of the corners).

New features to test

Hey guys I hope you've already downloaded the latest and greatest stable version of the PSP port (1.2.0). I've also put some new features into the SVN version which you may be interested in helping me test out. This version should not be considered stable -- only download it if you're interested in ...

I agree that it's a good idea. In fact I've had it on my schedule for a while to use timidity instead of adlib. Right now I'm dealing with a couple of other issues such as the long load times before cd-rip mp3 files can be played, but hopefully I'll get to it soon.
