Not a workaround, but the regular solution for cut scenes: The phone's / tablet's "back key" will quit the cut scene. ;)

If it doesn't do it in this situation, there is something more wrong with this game or ScummVM with this old bug. :(

Well, this seems to occur when you disable the "Full Screen Mode" -- just confirmed this on my stock Nexus 4. On the other hand, why don't you use the Full Screen mode? I tried a bit of Monkey 1 on Nexus 4 with Full Screen mode enabled and it looked nice using the full screen width, not ug...

You can also switch the verbs with right click, which is simulated on the Android port with a multitouch tap with two fingers, or hold one finger and tap a second at the same time. Have you tried that already?

I used to play (and finish!) games with ScummVM 1.4.x on a HTC Wildfire S (with Android 2.3.5, HVGA screen, 600MHz CPU).

All the scumm games (maniac, mi1, mi2, ..., dig, ft) and also FOTAQ (floppy) were running fine and I did not notice any lags or delays.

Don't know about later builds, but in the current Google Play Store version (1.4.0) you can select all directories that the app has access to (allowed by Android OS). Just to be sure: By "tap and hold", do you mean to tap the screen and leave the finger on the screen? In COMI (curse of monkey island), you can open the menu by double-click and hold, i.e.: double tap quickly and on the second tap leave the finger on the screen until the skull menu appears...

The double mouse cursor and the mouse cursor jumping on click only can already be changed to system mouse cursor only. Changing the input mode (via the Adlib-Option, see ScummVM WIKI, Android section for info) should do the trick.

@mallik, have you tried "Direct mode" as input mode? It sounds like it should remove the second mouse cursor.

Have a look at the Wiki in the Android platform page for this setting.

Yes, this option works. I have placed my save games in a directory of my SD card. ;)

You'll find the setting in "options" -> "Paths" -> "Savegame path".
