We weren't actually planning on remastering the music, mainly due to the lack of skills...
But if you are able to come up with something better than BASS's midi music, we'd certainly add support for it in ScummVM.

whee, quite some activity here... The next RC will autodetect what it's being booted from and should work from cd/mc/hdd, whatever. I've just been quite busy and wasn't able to implement it until now. I think I'll be able to make a new RC next week. I'll implement some kind of video mode override in...

I doubt it's the pad's fault. I'll take a look at it.

That's strange, it works perfectly fine here.
Do you play with mouse or pad?
Maybe the controls are just a little strange when playing with the pad, you probably heft to keep the right direction pressed for some time before it actually starts moving.

@firehawk: No, you can not force a different video mode. I don't see a reason for doing that, either...
What exactly is the problem with the HDD?
If you created the partition and started ScummVM, it will show up as "Harddisk" in the Add Game dialog.

Done. :)

Again, I modified the first message in this thread, it now links the RC3.
The only real change is the HDD support.

Happy testing. =)

So far, I didn't even know that there're some versions which don't work with the free SDK.
I'll have to collect some info on the causes and possible solutions. Afterwards I'll decide :)

No, not really... It means that your USBD version is not compatible to the free PS2SDK. Apparently there're a lot of USBD versions around and older ones work fine and laters ones crash :-/ I wasn't aware of that problem and I don't think I can fix it either. So I guess the only way for you would be ...

the cdvd thing is not ComI related, no. In fact, it doesn't make any difference at all to the user. There have been some changes, but the only one worth noticing is HDD support. Works quite well, and even ComI runs perfectly fine from hdd. (from cd/dvd it's as broken as it used to be and I doubt tha...

You should be aware though that the .EXE and .RST also have different versions, depending on the used .DSK and .DNR.
Don't mix them up....

Besides, BASS always was completely free. We just decided that we don't want to release the original .EXE because we didn't want to confuse any users.

cdrom0:/ is only missing because it builds the pathes at runtime, not at compile time...

Are you really absolutely sure that this port works with HDL?

Besides, I'm not quite convinced yet that I want to go through all the trouble to work around HDL bugs just to save 20 cent on a CD-R........

@niemand0815 Must be a bug in hd loader, and I have no idea how to work around that. Also, that 0.7.0 port wasn't done by me, I have no idea how it works. Do you have a URL of that port, if its sourcecode is available? @kaysow: Very nice. :) FT actually worked pretty well here when it's mp3 compress...
