Sounds good. Thanks for the explanation, and thanks for all the SCI engine improvements you and the others have been working on.

Strange Music Bug in LSL3

I want to create a bug ticket for this, but I'm having trouble describing it. Basically, when playing Leisure Suit Larry 3, sometimes the ambient music just stops, but then it continues when I start typing something and the input box opens, but then stops again after pressing enter. It happens frequ...

I don't think there's anything you can do to fix that. It's worked that way for a while when running dual mode in ScummVM. I think it's just one of the side-effects of forcing subs and speech at the same time in a game that didn't have that functionality truly built-in.

Testing results form needs updating

On the testing result form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfiAycQmgaBEDsb0KNpZrNAaqBtilZe4SHWRDYcykeKqLHFvg/viewform it asks for the version of ScummVM you tested on. However, it says that ScummVM versions start with "2.0.0git" when the daily snapshots now begin with "2.1...

No kidding. I love having all the graphics options in ScummVM, canonical or otherwise.

The new snapshot seems to have solved the problem. Thanks!

I was using the MT-32 emulator on games that supported it, but ScummVM would crash no matter what game I tried. It also crashed if I tried to exit the GUI.

A friend of mine from Germany loaned me his copy. He'd actually bought it when it was released. If it were mine to give I'd be happy to mail it to you and get it off my hands.

If I come across another when I do one of my perennial game searches, I'll make sure to let you know.

I'm not really in favor of content warning pop-ups in ScummVM, but I'll admit I didn't know what I was getting into when I started up Gnap, and I just wanted to vent a bit. The game has a deceptively cutesy style, and then all of a sudden it's delving into graphic animal cruelty. (And apparently doe...

Daily snapshots of ScummVM now crash when loading games.

Whenever I try to load any game with the current daily snapshot of the Windows version of ScummVM the program crashes with the message "http://www.scummvm.org/ has stopped working"

This doesn't happen with stable version 1.9.0.2

Is anyone else having this problem?

If you're more interested in your students creating SCUMM-style games and aren't too committed to specifically using SCUMM, I would recommend using Adventure Game Studio (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/) It has its own documented scripting language and integrated development environment for ha...

Great work, Risca and dreammaster!

To echo Kaminari, I think MT-32/GM support is always important, but I'm not the one putting the thankless hours into getting these games working.

That's an extremely intriguing idea. However, my main interest in a IIgs version would be in being able to play the game with IIgs music, the data for which were stored on *.sys16 files on all other AGI games. I imagine any such music file for Manhunter 2 just doesn't exist, or at least it never did...
