why the hell would the pc need disk swapping? You copy the files to the hard drive... it makes no sense to run them off disc. It doesn't need disk swapping. It could be a useful feature. I've run games on computers with limited hard drive space, and it's nice if you don't need to copy the files ove...

I understand why you moved it, but it's not like this topic is exclusive to the Dreamcast. It would even be nice if the PC version supported disc swapping. It just wouldn't be as crucial...

Will Disc Swapping Ever Be Supported?

I guess the title pretty much sums it up. I know that most people could probably live without this, but I primarily use ScummVM with my Dreamcast, and because it will only read CD-R's, I'm unable to run a lot of games. Is this feature being worked on, or should I just forget the idea? Anyway, I appr...

Hate to break it to you, but you're WRONG :D. Nah, I shouldn't be gloating. I also thought it was abandoned, but a few days ago, the creator actually released a demo.

Roku - Port Idea

Okay, I know NOTHING about coding, so this is an entirely random request. I don't expect anyone to try, but I feel like I may as well ask anyway. Does anyone know about the Roku ? It's a cheap online content streamer that hooks up to TVs. Anyway, they've really grown in popularity over the last year...

Lucasarts even made a joke out of these "sudden deaths" that Sierra put in its games (the infamous "rubber tree" joke in MI1 ) I was hoping someone would make mention of that :D. Actually, the main reason I've never really played any Sierra games is because it's so easy to die o...

The AGS code is indeed a bit messy *cough* (no insult intended, though, I just agree with Chris Jones ;). Indeed, there is no way this could get included as-is. But since the source is open and available, it would indeed be a good opportunity to refactor it, clean it up and rewrite some of the wors...

Of course, I have to be the one asking if Residual will be ported to such and such system/console. Soooo, without any further ado... For the love of God, make it compatible with the Dreamcast! In all seriousness, though, it's great that the game is finally completable. Maybe someday, we'll see the d...

I believe that the CD version offered a complete soundtrack. However, I don't believe that the music can be played in ScummVm (as it's so rare, that no ScummVm programmers have copies of it.)

Wouldn't this be bad news? If LucasArts licensed their adventure games to GOG, wouldn't that destroy any possibility of seeing any more enhanced versions or (dare I say it) sequels? Furthermore, wouldn't this move be implying that they are no longer considering doing anything in the adventure genre?...

Re: How can I promote the Monkey Island Fan Patch?

I would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to see the Monkey Island Talkie Edition fan patch incorporated into the main trunk of ScummVM so that we can play these great games with voices on systems other than Windows. The patch is located here. Can I donate to specifically get this implemented? What do I ne...

Question About SDL

I know little to nothing about programming. My friends and I want to write a game using SDL so that it will be compatible with a large quantity of systems. My question is that assuming that we wrote the program on a PC for PC, what modification would need to be done to port it to other systems? For ...

I agree with monsieurouxx. The post made it seem likely that it will eventually all go open source. I'm sorry, but it's very hard to contain my excitement! Just remember even if the runtime engine goes completely open source, there have been a *lot* of versions of the AGS runtime over the years, an...
