Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion

Interestingly, the smaller videos that play in the user interface don't seem to suffer from the crackling sound as the intro video! All other audio seems fine. Even so it would be nice to get some kind of solution as that crackling just sets my nerves on edge. I should also note that I've never had...

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion

The entire game is made of movies, so saying it's restricted to that is not much  Hence my intense desire not to have audio problems. Thanks again- hopefully together you folks can sort this out. Well, my point is this: Does it work past the initial introduction? If it doesn't, the issue is r...

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion

If the issue only happens during the intro (not say, once you wake up in the apartment), then it could possibly just be the Theora code being slow. The developers do offer support, but not through this channel. Please use the GOG forums, they are being monitored (by at least one of us). I am aware ...

Re: The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime Sound Distortion

I bought The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime on Good Old Games awhile ago and have had an issue with the sound being very crackly/distorted. Good Old Games support couldn't find a solution and the developers of the game don't offer tech support to my knowledge. They do however claim this is a Win...

Do not file a bug report. The DVD version is not supported in ScummVM currently.

Wow. Ummm, don't you think that's up to the purchaser? It's your opinion. It sounds like you're trying to push your opinion on as fact and are getting rather defensive about it. If someone thinks the ME is worth the purchase, who are you, or anyone else, to state otherwise? Of course it's my opinio...

No, I wrote this because you said that there's no reason to buy the ME edition, together with screenshots that show why. For me, the color increase makes the images look better. Overall, the improved image and sound quality are good reasons to prefer the ME edition over the regular one, IMHO. If yo...

AFAIK, the original Myst used dithering to lower the colors to 256. The Masterpiece Edition uses the 24-bit color palette. Here's a relevant page: http://cho.cyan.com/RAWA/dither.html The ME edition does look significantly better: http://cho.cyan.com/RAWA/MystCompare.html You wrote this as if you t...

That's no reason to re-buy a game. (Not to mention Masterpiece Edition is not an improvement at all, really.)

Is there any way to track the progress or whatever is missing? I would like to see an overview of whats missing (if that is possible). I'm talking on a code level. The entire graphics code for SCI32 is pretty wrong. It needs to be rewritten and that's a huge amount of work. Since no one is actively...
