Have you tried installing the game using it's own installer? I don't know which version of the game you have and what OS you're using, but if you're on a 32-bit Windows, it's worth a shot. Unless, of course, you've already tried it and it didn't work.

The game is not properly supported. From the Backyard Sports series, only Baseball and Football games can be found on the compatibility list , and the Baseball games have only a 20% compatibility rating. Backyard Soccer starts, because ScummVM supports the engine, but it doesn't know how to handle t...

I got that, too, but I went in with all shields up, and nothing happened, so I figured it's either a false positive, or, if they have forums, someone might have posted potentially harmful links or embeds. The latter is the case with most legit sites suddenly displaying the warning. Either way, the s...

Those look like .HQX self extracting archives. Don't know a Windows app that will open that, but it must be out there. There is a number of Windows programs that should open *.hqx archives. There's ZipZag , ALZip and a free version of Stuffit [although I'm not sure what's been taken out of the free...

Hmmmm, that Cygwin executable is dated 2002 It's from Dan Potter's / Cryptic Allusion site for Feet of Fury. You'd need it if you wanted to make swap CDs for the game, so yea, it's old, but it should work. ChillyWilly's n64dev archive contains a "genromfs" file, but alas it's a Linux ELF....

If you're running Windows, grab the Cygwin version here and Cygwin itself here.

Additionally, ChillyWilly posted some info and tools on the NeoFlash boards, which you might find helpful [or not, since it's a Linux toolchain]. Read his post here.

Here's a list of games supported by the NDS build [1.1.0 beta1]. The 7th Guest is not on it. Don't count on future support either, since the DS doesn't have enough memory to run it.

But why?I cant believe that cpu-power is the limitating factor when I see demos like this on unmodified systems (...) 20 years ago, maybe...but today totally new tricks in programming combined with new hardware are available... Keep in mind, that tricks used in demos serve an entirely different pur...

That's the scene right after Karl hands over the rescued puppies to David, who is just about to express his gratitude. The scene has been ultimately cut, due to heavy controversy, but in 2001 a beta was leaked.

Owners of legitimate R4's shouldn't experience such problems in the first place. I still have the 1.18 kernel on mine, and ScummVM is, and always was running just fine - both the regular builds, as well as the Slot-2 RAM utilizing version.

There are no legit R4 carts with SDHC support. The R4 hasn't been in production since the first quarter of 2008, and the last official kernel is version 1.18. To know the difference between fake and real, you might want to read this or this . As for your problem, I haven't encountered anything like ...

I think people sometimes miss the point when it comes to engine interpreters. It's all about keeping the interest in old games alive. I'd go as far as saying that if it wasn't for ScummVM, we wouldn't be playing new Monkey Island or Sam & Max games. Or any other adventure games for that matter, ...

i dislike the secret of monkey island special edition. If I was to name something I didn't like about the special editions, I'd go for the lack of a retail release. Otherwise, there's virtually nothing to complain about. And it's two games in one, so if you don't like the new looks, switch to the o...

Steven Chorney is great. I didn't know he did a The Dig poster, though. I love those proper, painted covers and posters. It's a shame that often great paintings made for movies get substituted with digital images. Drew Struzan did some amazing work on Hellboy posters, but I haven't seen any of them,...
