To me, a dead end is my own fault. That's obviously what you meant right? I say this beause the rest of your post makes it clear that this is how you rationalize it. I am a sierra fan also and yet I will call out bad design when I see it. I will recognize it when someone calls it out. I cannot reca...

This is working for me.
Try to do it in a completely different directory (e.g. /tmp)
Try to checkout https instead of http (both work for me)

Don't go there in a browser.
Checkout using svn.
svn co http://svn.github.com/scummvm/scummvm

Works for me.

The graphics card driver actually has aspect ratio correction where it letterboxes or pillarboxes the stuff while sending the image data as monitor-native-resolution.

It is not the default so it has to be activated.

What should we do in situations like GK2? The game comes on 6 CDs and there are files that have the same name with different sizes. I tried making a CD1,CD2,... subdirectories and putting the entire CDs in them but then the autodetect doesn't work. Trying to autodetect CD1 works (but then of course ...

You can do it without export like this

Code: Select all

SDL_VIDEO_X11_DGAMOUSE=0 scummvm
Notice that everything is on one line.

For SCI games with subdirectories, are we supposed to leave the subdirectories in there or flatten them?
The reason I ask about flattening them is then the mass-add has less crap to work with and doesn't get false matches of subdirectories.

There are around 14 directpries on that CD even multiple language versions. Which of the 4 games on there are you trying to add? I was succ...

Re: Is ScummVM too flexible for its own good?

NovaCoder, your points are only valid out of context of the current state of the project. We aren't really having performance problems. There aren't really more bugs than people can manage to fix. It's not like the project is a victim of its complexity. If your goal was to spark discussion, well don...
