Everyone agrees with that :). The discussion here is WHERE to put it, either in some subdir of My Documents, or under the Application Data subdir (which normally is hidden from the user). I wouldn't worry if it is hidden or not. Anyone that is likely to manually edit configuration files will surely...

Often the Sierra Games are quite slow under DOS-BOX, because Sierra had shitty Audiodriver. I used a Patch Programm called GOSIERRAV3 to Patch the Audiodriver. The audio driver has nothing to do with the speed of the games in DOSBox. The fact that you are running at only 4000 cycles is why. Try aro...

For the more demanding games, x86 computers can use dynamic core, which partially virtualizes the DOSBox processor. Non x86 machines cannot take advantage of the dynamic core. For less demanding games, normal core is fine. Normal core is 100% emulated and should not have a performance penalty on non...

Well I've been using version 2.06 of NAGI till recently, and I could use the mouse for the menu but not to move around. The recent release of 2.09 changed that. Maybe you were using a different version that I missed. 2.06 is the version that I was referring to. The mouse can be used to move the mai...

I don't understand why people dismiss DOSBox so fast. It runs All of the Sierra AGI games and almost all of the SCI games quite easily. Plus the development is very active. About the only SCI games that would be nice to have something else to run them in is the few Windows only SCI games and the Win...

Only if the game in question had it, in otherwards the amiga versions of the games. The dos versions of the AGI Sierra games didn't originally have mouse support. I have no Amiga AGI games, but I have almost all of the PC AGI games. I have had mouse support for years in my AGI games with NAGI. Bria...

Three things that I dislike about NAGI are the close button does not work, no aspect correction and that Alt+Enter will not let you switch between windowed mode and full screen on the fly. Sarien has most of these, except for full screen. But if Sarien is dead, it is nice that someone is picking up ...

As I said in the other thread, most of the Sierra games work just fine in DOSBox. You may want get the new patches made by NewRisingSun to take care of the speed bugs that plauge many of the old Sierra games on new systems. DOSBox will run on other platforms, such as Mac OSX and Linux, as well. DOSB...
