So you will need to define a midi_gain in your scummvm.ini for trying to normalize the volume. Or you can use ScummVM's own options dialog to set it. already did, with timidity i set midi-gain to 10, with fluidsynth is waaaaay to loud... 5 is an acceptable setting... with 10 the bass will almost bl...

weird...

first thing i would do: use a new clean config file

so delete or rename your scummvm.ini file and give it another try

which latest version? latest stable or daily build? stable should work fine

btw. which plattform?

if you're looking for fun, the good ol' lucas arts adventures are your choice. to be up-to-date, right now i'm playing "So Blonde", a really nice and funny german adventure. the bad thing is, i'm not sure but i don't think that its available in english yet :? http://www.soblonde.de/ (on th...

hmmmm..... it works fine, but it sounds different  some instruments are louder/quieter than with timidiy++ and i think timidity++ uses some kind of nice reverb-effect which fluidsynth doesn't :?: Timidiy++ = http://rapidshare.com/files/102298358/timidity__.ogg.html fluidsynth = http://rapidsh...

cooool, i'll give it a try when i'm home. if it works, i think it's the best solution for using soundfonts and should be implemented in all future versions of scummvm :P so you just have to choose "fluidsynth" in audio and point to the soundfont in midi-options? :?: would be great :!:

yes, as I said, the sound stuttering is a result of Grim Fandangos inability to handle multithread processing. set it to run with only one processor and it will most probably run fine. the artifacts are due to Grim Fandango using outdated antialiasing tecniques. turn off antialiasing on you gfx car...

disable multithread processing in Grim.exe and turn of any antialiasing(GF does not like newer nVidia cards) or run in software rendering mode and you should be fine. the game works already in windowed mode, but the sound stops completely after a short time. thats my main problem. if the game is ru...

If the goal is to get Grim running, I found that http://quick.mixnmojo.com/grim-fandango-launcher works perfectly under Windows XP. No CD-lag, no bugs (that I've found) full 3D support and audio works fine. Not for me, in fullscreen mode the game crashes right after the intro sequence... in window ...
