But do you think his site provided those stuff even when he was the copyright holder? He probably put those stuff in the site only after he quit.

The only two games I can think of that have the copy protection removed officially are the CD versions of Space Quest IV and... This one has multiple copy protections. They are (by order of appearance - but correct me if I left anything out): The requested code when entering a timepod for the first...

Copy protection in SCI/Sierra games

Now that SCI/Sierra games are supported, how did you deal with their (usually in-game) copy protections?

They're not currently listed in README.txt's "3.1) Copy Protection" section.

Sadly the official release came out without updating http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Datafiles (which does include AGI). :(

I guess at the time being I'll just leave all files as was suggested here.

Sorry, I just assumed that tar.bz2 means it's not for Windows...

Wow, it actually works! And even (at least partially) for SC1.0+ games!

Now how can I strip the binary and get rid of the 130 Mb EXE?

I guess I interpreted "paying all legal fees" literally and not as covering up ScummVM's expenses on the trial.

Admission or not aside, why did some of the money they paid went directly to ScummVM? Is there a commercial license for ScummVM that costs money? I thought ScummVM is free even commercially.

In other words, didn't ScummVM sue them just so they'll present a GPL license in the games' folders?

Latest ScummVM in XP SP3.

Wow, ctrl-m made such a huge difference! Too bad I didn't know it before.

The main place in which I couldn't switch characters was the inn (one of the first levels), that luckily had exit signs.

Buggy Scrolling and switching in Goblins 3

It's really hard to scroll left and right. It often doesn't react. Sometimes it even gets stuck on a certain view and I must save, restart the game and load. A more minor bug is that sometimes I can't switch characters. When I click on the "other" character, the first character goes to it ...

Changing the volume in Goblins 3 in-game

Since changing the volume from ScummVM's GUI does make a difference in this game, how come it's not possible to change it using the in-game shortcuts? It's really loud by default and it's much better to change the volume live according to your hearing.

Well, it's all water under the bridge now.

The easier beyond belief solution is now detailed in the Wikipedia talk page for this game.

Wow, I didn't know it's such a heated debate. I was really just curious, that's all. As for Videolan, I did wonder whether your official reasons were identical to theirs.
