but draging the stylus didnt work on my ppc.
Ow. Sorry for confusing you then. It's just that dragging is the only way to get it to open on my UIQ3 phone :)

Still, I'm glad you've found a solution to the problem.

Shouldn't this be in the PocketPC subforum? In any case, the upper menu only appears when you mouse-over it. Consequently, you'll have to DRAG the cursor up to the top of the screen with your stylus to get it to open. The same thing happens with any other Coktel game which uses the drop-down menu (i...

(And in some cases, even the original was SCI)
AFAIK, that's only true for Quest for Glory/Hero's Quest, but yes, all the remakes were done into SCIVGA. Well, KQ1VGA might not look the part, but at the core that's exactly what it is.

md5 , in his first post he names Windows XP as the OS. The system specs, however, would be interesting to know - a lot of people run XP and I don't really recall seeing lots of compatibility complaints. Heck, I've played ScummVM on three separate computers with various versions of XP installed on t...

In the mean time, just use DOSBox for SCI games or any DOS game not supported by ScummVM. It has become more compatible with a greater range of games and easier to use than a real DOS machine. Us Symbian freaks would die to get Quest for Glory in a mobile form. I know I would, since coding isn't so...

Umm, I know this might seem a tad rash, but can I ask you which particular game you've tried in ScummVM that doesn't save? I hope you realize that only SCUMM games are supposed to auto-save, IIRC...

But I don't have to use that feature, so I can play it as with the S60-version if I want? You don't have to, but you will, if you get a UIQ-something phone (as I've stated before). The keymapper's REALLY and UTTERLY broken, so you simply can't assign the buttons to work as in the S60 version (and t...

Where can I get games for this thingy? Buy some at your local software outlet, provided it carries games compatible with ScummVM. Get the freeware and PD ones. Purchase them online. Find someone to borrow them from. There's a multitude of options here. I had an older version of ScummVM and then I d...

The compiling part pertains to those advanced users which actually compile their own builds from the SVN repositories. If you use the binaries from this site, you don't have to worry about no such thing. Yes, the tracks should be named like that. Just dump the MP3s into the same directory which hous...

clem , that depends on how strong, hardware-wise, your device is. For example, my SE W950 runs FT without problems whatsoever, The DIG starts but hangs during the drill-the-triangle-plates-in-asteroid-out scene; CoMI starts but hangs when the actual game begins (but the movies work A-OK). Does that...

I'd suggest you tell the nice developer people which version of ScummVM you are using (i.e. 0.10.0, or 0.11.0svn or what?) before they ask themselves. And if it's not one of the above, get one of the above from the download page and try again. If that doesn't help, submit a bug report before the nic...

Yeah. Since the way the UIQ3 ports of ScummVM handle cursor motions is "stylus tap = click in this place", you might want to DRAG the cursor upwards from somewhere around the middle of the screen to achieve the desired effect. Works pretty well for me (W950 here), I'm currently checking if...

Which symbian system is the best? There's no straight answer for that. UIQ has touch screen support (NOT in the Motorola builds it don't, which makes those useless for ScummVM for now since the keymapper is STILL BROKEN in the UIQ builds) which is handier for fast play but kills the pixel-hunting p...

except Broken Sword (it uses VGA resolution - 640x480) It's more of an available memory issue rather than a screen one. I've managed to get Curse of Monkey Island and Spy Fox: Dry Cereal running on my W950 (glitchy, sure, but RUNNING), both of which rely on 640x480 - aside from some funky graphical...

Any SCUMM game that's not SVGA (in other words, any SCUMM game besides from CoMI and MM for NES -- the HE games work, but have graphical glitches) and both Elvira games. And Gobliiins parts 1 and 2 as well as Ween: The Prophecy. Simon 1 and 2 suffer from incurable slowdowns, and I'm yet to try any A...
