This question could of been answered by using the search function for the forum because this has been raised before.

See this thread for more info.

As for the compilation errors, sdl-config is probably not in your path therefore the compile fails.

I don't know the answer to that but surely any standard Linux distro will be able to build it from the source tarball quite easily?

Yes, I've encountered a few slow connections recently. The best way I found to get around these problems was to use wget (see here or here) instead of an internet browser, it seems to be more robust.

Re: Sound problems.

Some more information about your computer might help to solve the problem, ie. which OS you're running, soundcard details etc.

Re: Computer-Specific Save State Error

I didn't see anything like this in the previous posts, so I hope this isn't a repeat topic. Basically, I have ScummVM and a number of games for it in folders in a common file. The games work fine, but there's a problem with the save states. When I try to save, a notice pops up that looks something ...

It's good to see that it compiles fine for the Gamecube. I had a bit of head scratching over Christmas trying to get Linux running on my Cube, one day I'll sort it out.

Well, what if he added the subdirectory "clusters" instead of the main directory to the ScummVM launcher? Not according to the scummvm.ini he posted. What I don't understand is why it appears to think it's still on CD 1... Maybe an idea may be to delete everything including ScummVM and sc...

Re: Revert to .SOU from .SO3 / .SOG

I have compressed my Sam and Max Monster.sou file to Monster.sog (I also have a backup of it in .SO3 format). I plan on using ScummVM DS for my Nintendo DS, though that requires the original .SOU file. My question is, in essence, a two-part one: a) Is it possible to decompress the OGG / MP3 compres...

Sorry for the confusion, I meant Secret of Monkey Island. I have the box for escape from monkey island on my desk aswell so I wasn't thinking! I tried running the LHA213-thing. It extracted 'history.eng, a un-openable help file and a work document with a list of lots of commands. How would I go abo...
