To the ScummVM Team

Thanks for the countless hours of joy you've brought to an overly nostalgic gamer. I hope you all walk with heads held high, you've made something almost magical.

Newest build has serious issues

Vinterstum, The newest build you posted has some major issues. DOTT, Monkey Island, Loom all crash right after launch. Monkey Island 2 has garbled text, etcetera. That said, I really appreciate the continued work! It also seems that you've improved the accellerometer support, which is good because i...

You won't have to look hard to find record of me heaping praise upon the ScummVM team. My intention was only to mention to Vinterstum that Gizmodo had blogged the iPhone port.

Sigh... [grumble] As mentioned many times, this project is called "ScummVM", not "vinterstum's project". A whole team is responsible for all the code, vinterstum did the iPhone port, but a whole lot of other people did other ports and actually made the games play. You can't give...

Save Game Directory?

Where does ScummVM place save games by default on the iPhone? My limited search cannot turn up the proper location.

Thanks!

*Edit: I think I found them in .scummvm, which I previously could not see. Thanks anyway!

Screen Rotation

Since, I believe Vinter is using this Forum for feature requests rather than the Forge Tracker: Vinter, it would be nice if the accelerometer rotated the screen both ways. Right now, landscape is displayed the same direction, regardless of which hand is holding the "base" of the Touch/iPho...

Vinter, thanks a lot. This is a huge improvement. An improve Gui and this app would eclipse Apples own applications! Thanks a lot!

Vinter,

Yes, this probably needs to be implemented as soon as possible, as it renders playing somewhat difficult, if not impossible. Perhaps you could employ a menu-bar icon, ala Nes.App, gbsphone.app, etc.

The Dig seems to work. I haven't played very far in, but intro cinematic and first few scenes + voices work just fine. This is using the latest build, of course.

I'm wondering if there are any improvements that might be appropriate for the AGI games. While the Touch and the iPhone are great for Point and Click adventures, the AGI engine isn't all that savvy when it comes to mouse movement. Perhaps binding characters of the keyboard to arrow keys would allevi...
