Oki then, delete scummvm.ini, start ScummVM and add the game again, that will start it with default settings

for the sake of it, try changing into the resource folder and copy the files from there.

That should bring up the CRC error on the specific file that triggers it.

Although it's strange that a copy operation is locking up your system.

Did you test your RAM lately?

I don't use Windows, but my first hit would be a scratched CD and therefore broken files.

Does the CRC error comes from Windows or do you use a third party copy program?
