From Telltale Games, all Sam and Max and Back to the Future episodes. Tales of Monkey Island and Wallace & Gromit are really good too. Back to the Future: The Game is good (I enjoyed it), but take note that it's a casual adventure game (the puzzles are about as easy as Telltale's first episodes...

I ran Chivalry Is NOT Dead on ScummVM on an 8 year old Compaq Presario SR1000 with an AMD Athlon XP processor at 2.16 GHz running Windows XP and a cheap Asus with an AMD Athlon 64 processor at 1.8 GHz running Windows 7 and neither had any slowdown.

That may be possible but honestly i'm not so sure anymore a point and click interface, even if feasible, it's the way to go. I read up a bit on the internet on why grim fandango is so good (a thing i experienced but i couldn't explain), and adding an interface like that could jeopardise that. see e...

I'm talking about places like this . Since you cannot see Manny's feet you cannot tell him to go back to the center of the office. Couldn't you hack in a special case in instances like that where you just wait for clicks at the bottom of the screen in that set from, for instance, 0,270 to 640,280, ...

JenniBee: I know you said this a few months back, have you tested those with the latest nightly? (I recently enabled dirty rects-rendering in the engine, which might show new issues not earlier visible). I played the three games by Deirdra Kiai on the same day I wrote that post. However, you're rig...

I played through the game in several combinations and I couldn't find any issues except for some sound popping when a track looped (apparently the same issue as this bug entry on the tracker ). On a side note, I also played through Pigeons in the Park (by the same author as Chivalry Is NOT Dead) and...

Wow. I'm happy to hear that. Grim Fandango is definitely deserving of that. I hope you manage to get a solution to get it working for the museum, whether it ends up using ResidualVM or another method (although the use of ResidualVM to run it would definitely be neat). :)

And I doubt the new game will be written in their same old engine, but who knows. In Joost Peters' (ScummVM developer joostp) introduction at the BS5 kickstarter updates page, he stated that it uses a new iteration of Revolution's engine (Virtual Theatre 7). So, it likely won't be playable in Scumm...

Re: Space Quest 1 VGA Russian unplayable

ScummVM doesn't detect Space Quest 1 VGA Russian so it unplayable at all. I've got error message "Game data not found". But in DosBox game is playable. Is there a way to fix it? As of June 2011, the unofficial Russian fan translation of Space Quest VGA was unsupported because of differing...

Back to the Roots obtains permission for every release they make as stated on their mission page . If they don't have permission to host a game, they don't upload it (which is why you'll see grey unlinked titles in the pages of some companies (Sierra included). The legality of Back to the Roots has ...

One of those is available legally for free though from another site. :) Black Cauldron is available in it's Amiga form from Back to the Roots legally (as all the games on that site were only added after they got permission from the rights holders). You can extract it with a program like ADF Explorer...

Gog sells PC games. Where can I buy a compatible version for Android?

Thanks.
The Curse of Monkey Island has been out of print for a long time, and LucasArts only released 4 adventures on Steam (CoMI wasn't one of them unfortunately).

You'll have to check eBay.

Re: genral

Is it possible to play GK in scumm? Do you mean Gabriel Knight? If you do, then yes, Gabriel Knight is completable in the latest daily builds but it's not officially supported. I completed it in ScummVM last month, but there's some things missing (like the flashlight function in the tomb) and other...
