It has been decided to allow RPG's in ScummVM.
Hence, Dungeon Master is being implemented.

So I'm guessing RougeVM is at least frozen indefinitely.

No. It is not a port.

It is an unofficial freeware fan-remake, made with Adventure Game Studio.

It has nothing to do with SCUMM, which was developed by LucasArts.

Ps. Talk about thread-necromancy.

Re: How to update Monkey Island 4?

You do not need to apply/install it.
Simply place the exe file in the game folder, and ResidualVM will read any needed info straight out of it.

That is all.

Most probably, it is no different from the Windows patch.

Re: EFMI for Mac & the 1.1.2 Update

Just download the *.exe patch from ResidualVM's download page and place it in the game direcytory folder. It should work with the mac version as well.

I think placing the mac patch in the directory should work as well, but am unsure if it has been implemented.

PS. Will you be adding a required datafiles listing for these games? Thanks, and good question. I've never sat down to figure out the files needed for the different versions. I'll try and figure out a full list this evening, unless anyone else wants to take care of it. Great! I would help, if I kne...

Re: Discworld Noir Engine Reimplementation

No, the source is not available. There are(a few) similarities with the ScummVM TINSEL engine though.

I'm guessing the code is either not available anymore(does not exist), or is tied up in legal mumbo-jumbo.

They should all be hosted at adventure-treff(.de?) still.

Sounds a bit like the Blade Runner game to me. Or even Beneath a Steel Sky.

Prefered device is set in global option(you can set a prefered music device for all your games). Or you can select a device under each specific games options.

The background animation is actually smush video, like the cutscenes. God luck redoing those.
