Not that easy: 1) Last I've heard he still wants AGS to stay closed 2) AGS allows extensions via DLLs, which doesn't exactly lends itself to portability 1. yeah, that's what I also heard, because he got burned on an older project of him.. And ofcourse not 'opening up' gives him more control on the ...

AGS is a real great engine, and has a lot of amazing and fun free (and some commercial) adventuregames written with it, so if you haven't actually...

Yeah but using DosBox you loose the performance/speed that you get by using an interpreter like ScummVM or FreeSCI. As your then running: OS->Emulator->Interpreter->Game Scripts rather than: OS->Interpreter->Game Scripts which is how the game was designed to run. yeah, well, that may be true for ne...

I'm now using a daily build of AnkSVN (AnkhSvn-Daily-2.0.5100.174) which seems to work fine.. When I use 'Update to latest version' now on the sln it seems to get it nicely (although the SVN server is quite slow IMHO).. And I just build a nice debug version.. So now I can check it out to see if I ca...

But again, be warned: If you don't really know what you are doing (and to be frank, it doesn't sound as if you are), it can be risky to use latest version. :) LOL.. I must admit that I don't really know what I'm doing using SVN this way (used TortoiseSVN in the past in combination with unrealscript...
