good point i got the wrong end of the stick.

yes im still in win2k mode, sorry again.

could it be a subjective thing? different speakers, worse hearing or just bad memory.
how can you notice a difference in midi sourced tracks?

no. as for the 'goal' argument, it simply doesn't apply since scummvm's initial goal was to support lucas art games, recently this has changed, more because i feel the devs run out of things to do.

they've simply done an excellent job, and fast.

it is called MIDI :P

there are 2 possible reasons, since the volume control is working

1. data corruption - try recopying the data from the source
2. the music isn't there - either cause it isn't ripped or it isn't on the HDD

there is an explanation in the FAQ for ripping the MI tracks

okay, so i got the resource folders from both disks, and i got the 0 1 and 2 files from both disks, just one thing theres 2 of the 0 files... so like.. which disk do i get it from? COMI.LA0 COMI.LA1 COMI.LA2 thosee files i mean, theres 2 of the 0 one...which disk do i get it from? its the same file

define 'other sounds', its possible that you have the used output muted.

its possible that the CD is damaged or aged, therefore effecting the rate of successful reads. also the newer the CD drive may directly effect the success rates(or just a well made drive). this is only something to consider when using CD's as a permanent storage device. so this behaviour is perfectl...
