For some reason it can be very easy to misunderstand what the point of the SCUMMVM project is, even though it's stated quite explicitly on the site. I'll admit that a few years ago I believed that the project was actually about emulating Lucasarts' iMuse sound system, and tried to see if I could get...

Just my interpretation, but it sounds like he's saying that this problem didn't occur with an earlier version of SCUMMVM, but since upgrading to the latest version a bug has appeared.

Does anyone know if the re-release of Sam & Max Hit The Road includes the bonus CD audio tracks? The version of the game that I have does not have the bonus tracks (it includes Day of the Tentacle and a demo of Grim Fandango on the same disc, so there's obviously no room for the music), and I th...

the game is a ripped cd version found on the net Marcopar, you have violated forum rule #0 . You have the right to remain silent on the tech support forum. If you choose to give up this right, anything you say can and will be used against the members of the SCUMMVM development team by the game's co...

It sounds to me like the subtitle speed setting has been altered. For most games I find that 3 is the right setting.

Re: Game Dev for ScummVM

I know it a bit complicated trick but may be you guys could develop some sort of SDK for community to create old-styled games for ScummVM ourselves? I know there are lots of Lucas Arts' (and others') game fans and some of them are dreaming of continuations for games they are fond of so why not to g...

Sam & Max, Full Throttle and The Dig were just rereleased in Australia for $9.95 Australian each. I have no idea if they come with ScummVM or DosBox.

I find for most games it's easy to buy a copy of the PC version, but much harder to find any other version (at least on eBay). While I'd love to try out other versions, I take whatever I can get.

The ethics of backups

I'm having something of an ethical/legal dilemma, and thought I'd put it up here for comments. A game CD of mine has become damaged. Specifically there is a crack at the center of the disc. This crack does not extend to the data part of the disc, and therefore the disc is still completely readable. ...

In response to comments we've had, our programming director Petter Holmberg recently said this in our forums about differences between the demo and full versions: Character movement: This is a matter of adjusting animations and character movement speeds. We'll take care of this in the final version ...
