Yah, I do remember having trouble with them a while back. I had a save game in Broken Sword that would that always freeze when the janitor cleaned the hall in the hospital (Similar problem in Full Throttle & MI3). None of my saves were from before the point that caused the error so I started pla...

Also, don't forget about boot parameters. You can start at any point in some games. Useful if you don't feel like playing thru a game. I don't think it always gives you the necessary inventory items, though. Check it out in the wiki. http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Boot_Params

I compile w/ vc2008 and it doesn't need to be stripped at all. It's extremely easy too. Download vc2008 from Microsoft site (free). D/l source and uncompress. Then load up the project fie (in /dist/msvc9 )and compile. Although I think the thread's drifting off topic...

Thanks. I knew it was in there, I just missed it. I'm a little sleepy so I wasn't thinking straight. I feel like an idiot. Do you know if the game is going to be released on this site once support is ready. It's available from GOG.com, but I know there was some dispute about it's status. If it is in...

Teen Agent. Need dat file

I am looking for the file teenagent.dat. In the latest version of Scummvm (compiled in vc2008) it says that I need that file. The twitter page said it was added to the dist files. I searched the dists folder and most of the svn tree, but no luck. I don't think I missed it. I realize the game is not ...

It looks like it's part of the trunk now and there seems to be a lot of work done to it lately. That'll be a good addition since it's on GOG for free. Plus with dragon history, that will eventually be 2 more free games for a total of 6. It's a shame Discwold couldn't happen. I was hoping for that si...

Sci Studio creates SCI0 games which Scummvm handles very well now. There are lots of tools to help development at The Ultimate AGI & SCI Web Site. That would be the ideal engine to use if one really wants to distribute their game with Scummvm. It might make sense to distribute your game w/ a ver...

I found it and managed to compile it w/ VC2008, but I could not get ScummVm to detect the game. Oh well. I guess I will have to wait for him to finish.
Oh, as a bonus I remembered that I could enable the sci engine again. At least it wasn't a total loss.

soc builds

I was looking for any builds from the current google SOC. In particular I'm looking for a version to try dragon history. I searched the forum, wiki and faq with no success. I ask because I've had no success running the game initially with dos box. I do have an old p2 I'm thinking of setting up with ...

It is illegal for anyone but the original copyright holder to transfer the game to you. So, unless lucasarts is the uploader, transfer of the game even if you are liscenced it's use, would be illegal. They used to offer you replacement discs for $10, does anyone know if they still offer that? A perf...

Yeah, they did a number on him with that. He was supposed to atleast have a hand in the creation of the first one, but they decided that they didn't want his help or pay him anything. I was so excited when I heard the announcement of the new larry game until I heard that. I knew it would be bad if t...

I was reading on wikipedia about the game "soft pcrn". Apparantly, the designer of the game, Gary thompson, rewrote the entire game and releasesd it independent of Sierra as shareware. (with Sierra's permission) Since this is a total rewrite, it's distribution is legal. It appears that thi...

I would love to play Zak : Time and Space, but there's no english subtitles yet, and I don't know German. They say on their site, the translation will have english voice overs too, but I'm sure thats a long way off. But, for fan games, there's sooo many good ones out there. I listed some of my favor...
