Coktel Vision who developed the Gob engine and games also developed the Adi(bou) games for Educational Entertainment (Edutainment) using the same or very similar engines. See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coktel_Vision There is not much listed in the English Wikipedia, Mobygames etc. but the Frenc...

ADI Jnr. (Gob engine) - An unrecognized version of the game

In the screenshot on the ScummVM homepage I saw this copy protection image: http://www.scummvm.org/data/screenshots/gob/littlered/littlered-fr-1-full.png From Once Upon a Time: Little Red Riding Hood. I recognised the copy protection image from a game I played as a kid called "ADI Jnr." and so I dec...

George Stobbart and Inspector Rosso from Broken Sword, Goblins from the Goblins series and Simon the Sorcerer from the Simon the Sorcerer games are ones you didn't mention. The ScummVM logo includes Max from Sam & Max and, I think, someone who might be Bernard from Maniac Mansion and Day of the Tent...

I grabbed this yesterday. Detective Grimoire is a game I have played previously on my iPod Touch. It is a really fun take on detective gaming (albeit a bit short) and was developed by the Super Flash Bros. Anyone who enjoyed watching flash movies in the mid naughties may recognise them as the creato...

That's quite impressive. Its a shame that I can't find a function to load my own games from my computer though, so I can only play demos.

wow... I was directed here by a Dreamcast community because they said to check here... didnt think it would be THIS full of trolls... I'm really sorry if I offended you, that wasn't my intention at all. I just don't feel that this is well suited to ScummVM. As CaptainJei said, I don't think ...

Seems to me a better choice would be to port LibreOffice to Dreamcast then. I assume it can play those interactive PowerPoint thingies. I'd agree with you, assuming LibreOffice does support the required features, that would be much more suited to playing these than ScummVM would. This doesn't reall...

I for one still have no clue what exactly you're talking about. I think what they are referring to is things like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MKD4VCrwGmM Therefore what I believe mtonline wants is a way for ScummVM to support interactive PowerPoint presentations so people can use PowerPoin...

I saw this news yesterday and was wondering if it meant it was more or less likely that Ron Gilbert will be able to get the rights to Monkey Island back.

Re: Another newbie question

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Looking on that link it says I need the SCUMM engine. It doesn't say where you get it from though or how you install it. I've spent days searching round trying to find out and keep drawing a blank. I would have preferred if someone else replied to this (maybe someone ...

A couple of the image links were dead in the guide, so I have just re-added every image with a new one that reflects the current state of ScummVM. (and using Windows 7, which these days is much more common than XP)

First you need to download the Windows version of ScummVM here: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scummvm/scummvm-1.5.0-win32.exe?download Once you have done that just follow this guide I wrote for playing multi-disc games though ScummVM. For the purpose of the guide I focused mostly on The Curse o...

I have run all of the games you mentioned under Windows 7 with default settings and they work perfectly for me! :?
