c&d is a "cease and desist" letter, when they write to you with a bunch of legalese, saying that if you don't stop doing whatever it is they claim you're doing wrong, then they will take legal action against you.

perhaps not, i didn't check :) - but the implied question was whether or not the consoles were powerful enough to run it, not whether there was an official port.

DOSBox requires far too much processing power to run on handheld platforms or gaming consoles - i.e. Windows Mobile, Dreamcast, Symbian, iphone, PSP, Playstation 2 etc etc. It runs on Desktop operating systems, so the portability requirements are of course vastly different not to nitpick ;) but it'...

I always figured that was essentially what DOTT did, did a snapshot save and when you quit reloaded it and set a flag to Bernard to trigger his response. nah dott just froze in the background after running maniac mansion, so when mm exited, dott would just restart from where it was, still all there...

my mostly uneducated guess is no, it won't change much for scummvm. the significant changes are to the actual phone functionality (ie making calls etc), and maybe more storage space, but not much to the basic system.

don't play from the cd - copy all the necessary files into a folder on your hard disk, and set scummvm to play the game from there. read parts 3.5 and 3.6 of the scummvm readme :)
