Does anyone know who provided you guys with the third PlayFate demo recently? I did offer you the same datafiles a long time ago but for some reason no-one ever bit. Now I see somebody out there managed to retrieve them from some obscure source in the world and included the DOS-specific files as we...

The PC version should hopefully be completable now, I fixed another major issue in the code for saving progress in the games. The problem was that the code to save progress when changing rooms, was only been triggered the first time a room was entered after starting ScummVM in some cases. It would b...

Re: Debugging/logging music through console

There are currently no debug commands to play music directly in HE Games that use digital music. It might be possible by changing variables via debugger, but you would need to dump and examine the scripts been used to select music tracks. The HE startup sound is only played in certain versions of ga...

The English & German versions of Simon the Sorcerer 1 (CD) removed many subtitles, and even the string ids in the scripts for those subtitles. It would be a huge task to restore the missing subtitles, since the game scripts would need to be updated too. If you hack code to enable subtitles, you will...

All languages of the Simon the Sorcerer 1 & 2 versions provided by GOG.com work under ScummVM.

Looks like that 'tbllist' file is corrupt in this case.

There was keyboard emulation in ScummVM in the past, but it was removed due to conflicts with scripts. Specifically keyboard commands in SCUMM scripts were been blocked.

The later SCUMM games offer keyboard support via scripts.

Unfortunately a hard coded path (on drive F:\) for external data files was been included in the Windows builds. The problem didn't effect the development builds on buildbot, due to those builds been cross compiled. The problem has been fixed now, and you can download an updated ScummVM 1.6.0 version...

The task is much more complicated than just adding the missing subtitles, the string id numbers were completely removed from the scripts in the English/German talkie versions where subtitles are missing. So you would need to alter numerous scripts in the data files, to add back string id numbers for...

Yes, there are a few hidden animations and scenes in various HE games. Check the INI Settings page on the ScummVM wiki, to see how they can be trigger in original (via hegames.ini) or in ScummVM (via config file).
