Compatibility-schpatibility. AnotherGuest stopped compiling the Broken Sword engine into the Symbian release of ScummVM since before Gob engine support was added, and that was a loooong while ago. If you feel like giving this game a whirl on your pocket device, you'll have to compile your own build....

It's SCI256-based. And the various varieties of the SCI engine are the domain of the FreeSCI project, and the details of not adding SCI support to ScummVM have been chewed over quite a few times too many. Need I say more?

but as I start the game it doesnt load at all, just a blank screen Define "blank screen". If you get a black screen which retains the smallish interface icons provided by SDL (i.e. the left click/right click switcher, the keypad input mode icon, etc.), then this is normal behaviour. FOTAQ...

AFAIK, since all the sprites/bgs/sounds are in formats compatible with those platforms, it is wise to assume that they will be interpreted as they exist - i.e. the coloration of sprites will be different between the PC and NES versions of Maniac Mansion because they were made for different platforms...

Cappy, CD tracks don't show up as files on the CD. Use a REAL ripping tool (I prefer CDex) to check for audio tracks. Be aware that some regional versions of this compilation did NOT have them at all in any shape way or form, so there might not actually be any on your disc. Sorry.

So that non-english speaking german-speaking people could play the game in its entirety without missing all the stuff that got censored out (which, IIRC, was a LOT, including a godly portion of the Nazi-referencing episode).

Can't you use the numpad keys for the fight? They're a lot more comfortable for this purpose, IMHO.

Just checking - have you copied all the files of the game into the phone's memory? Are they all in an open area of the memory (some Nokia phones have weird directory access rights, blech)? Are they all in one folder that is not in the root or whatever the phone perceives as root of the memory card? ...

Yes. You really shouldn't store games in the root directory, it drives ScummVM crazy. Make a separate subdir for your game, making sure that NOTHING besides the game is in it.

Are all the files present? Are these particular versions of the games functioning under ScummVM running on your PC? Is there any sort of other software running in background while you launch ScummVM? (don't forget, UIQ3 is a multi-taskable OS, and, as such, is sometimes prone to inter-software confl...

Since the 'big' ScummVM doesn't support it fully, neither does the Symbian version. See a connection here? Watch the news and hope, that's the best suggestion I can give you.

P.S. Yeah, the second is also my favourite of the three.

It's usually considered polite to spell properly and use punctuation marks as necessary, so as not to make your phrases too indecipherable. I would suggest that you at the very least elaborate on what OS you are using, what you did to get such an error, which particular release this is and how can B...

Which is kinda weird, since I remember quite clearly I've used ScummRev to tear up my copies of DIG, CoMI and FT for the music tracks I've liked. Hmmm. Gotta go check if that was actually the case.
