No. I can see this is going to have to be added to the FAQ.

The DSi cannot run any homebrew at the moment.

Don't worry, I know all about Quake and Quake 2 on DS. In fact I know Simon pretty well. I even have his EZ Flash and Supercard carts for testing ScummVM. The problem with ScummVM is not the speed of the RAM (although that could become an issue), but the lack of 8-bit write support. If it had this, ...

Nope, it's going to be a few weeks before I get it back. I'm still on a phat for now.

If anyone had a phat version of the Opera RAM expansion they want to post to me, I could get it done sooner.

It's not the external RAM running out that's the problem. 8Mb of that is plenty. The stuff that's running out is the DS internal 4Mb, which is needed for certain types of data which don't work in external RAM.

So people with a smaller external RAM pack are not at a disadvantage.

Thanks to everyone who has tested! I've been burning the midnight oil trying the get the stadium driving section running, and that part of the game uses a huge amount of RAM. I've got it stable until the part where you run around on fire, but I can't make that section work properly, although it is c...

I found an odd bug which occurs on my M3 Lite with one particular DS Phat, but not the other one I have. I've updated the build to fix it.

Download is on the first post of this thread.

The zoom function doesn't solve the technical problems with the 640x480 games, that is there isn't enough VRAM for that large a screen. And the extra external RAM is very tricky to make use of, and not suitable for a lot of the data used by ScummVM games. This is the reason that The Dig still runs o...

@another world, well spotted! Build I is for Bud Tucker in Double Trouble, which I started working on but have not got to work fully yet.

@covarr, I thought the Windows HE games ran at 640x480, which is a major hurdle to getting them on the DS. Any that are 320x240 though might be feasable.

Hi guys, thanks for your patience, Well, I've been working on this for far too many hours and it's very late, so I don't trust myself to replace the original build. So here's a build that appears to fix the subtitles issue: http://scummvm.drunkencoders.com/scummvmds0-13-1-ftdigtest2.zip @mortys: I'm...

So I've tried it here and with subtitles on the game crashes almost straight away. With them off, it works perfectly.

So the moral of the story is: don't use subtitles. At least until I've had time to work out what the problem is with them.

That's strange, I have an EZ Flash RAM pack and an M3 DS Simply here. I've done extensive testing with it in fact. The M3 Simply has firmware v1.11. What version are you using? On mine, it's shown on the bottom left of the touch screen when you boot it up.

What hardware are you using red_breast? And are you using cards in both slots or just slot-2?

I've played that scene through so many times I know all the words by heart, and no crashes on my hardware.

Which slot-1 card are you using with the Opera RAM pack? Can you try using your slot-1 card reader with your Supercard as the RAM?

Nice pictures, Red_Breast. And if you hadn't said, I would have said your DS is white.
