Re: Loom TG16 will seemingly only run under Windows

LordHoto mentioned that this game would need 16-bit graphics support in the backend - so is it basically true that none of the console/handheld ports carry such support? Correct. Except, if I'm not mistaken, the PSP version now supports 16bpp in the daily builds. You can view the features (16bit in...

The sentence where it appears is "if such use is solely for providing minor features or functionality that are consistent with the intended and advertised purpose of the Application." (emphasis added too) I read that as "minor (functions or functionality)", but maybe I should have read it as "(mino...

I don't see how the code ScummVM interprets could ever be described as "providing minor features" (emphasis added), and wouldn't "embedded" mean that it has to be a part of ScummVM itself? If so, wouldn't that rule out most of the supported games? The sentence where it appears is "if such use is so...

From what I've seen it looks like the builds Lubomyr is providing are based on a different source than the official one (in fact it looks like it's a compilation of the SDL backend from the 1.1.1 release). Lubomyr, can you confirm it? In case it was true it would be very important to notice people w...

Actually we have the vectorial sources for the current iPhone icon (scummvm_iphone_icon.svg here ), so if it's only a matter of resolution, it should be as easy as re-rendering that. (The same goes for the loading screen) If you want to make creative changes to it, it would be best to make them over...

2005 was the join date of the post author ;) I think it's more an issue of processing power than memory, since The 7th Guest plays at a resolution of 640x480, and I think the DS isn't powerful enough to do the scaling in real time. If it was a memory issue one could have the hope someday the memory ...

Fingolfin: The download link is below the screenshot on that page. The login form below is indeed misleading. Additionally the modified source code is available at http://cax.nm.ru/, which is linked from the same page. This clears the legal situation of the port :) (edit: tobybear wrote faster than ...

1.1.0 branch

ScummVM 1.2.0svn48274 Since this is the testing season for the 1.1.0 release, you should try to stick with the builds from the 1.1.0 branch and not trunk (1.2.0 in this case). There are already big changes in trunk, and the results may vary. If you're using the Buildbot snapshots, please get them f...

Which device are you running it on? If you're running it on a portable device (like a mobile phone or a PDA) it probably has to do with its screen resolution.

Hi, I've recently been doing some tests with the WebOS SDK and a ScummVM port looks definitely doable (at least until Palm blocks native code in future system updates). I'd be willing to work on this port, but I don't have such devices, so right now I'm doing all the work based on the emulator suppl...
