HQ2x scaler seems to work just fine on my PPC G4 with 10.4.11. nasm is an assembler code to accelerate some operations (it is supposed to be quicker than the same operation written in C, but the drawback is that it is less portable). I don't think it is available on PPC and even if it was it would ...

I have tested your build on my Intel mac. It doesn't crash straight away but if I use the HQ2x or HQ3x scaler I get some strange graphical glitches: see this image or this image (both are at the start of Indy FOA). I don't get this isue with another graphic mode. So it seems there is indeed somethin...

I am using HQ3x scaler by default, and if I remember correctly the BS games do not use the scaler set in the general graphic options because they were originally at a higher resolution than the other games (which would explain why they do not crash). I just recompiled scummvm with nasm to test the g...

I also moved to an Intel Mac some time ago but I still have an old iBook which I think run MacOS X 10.2 (or maybe 10.3) and already has all that is needed to build ScummVM as I used it in the past for that task (although I might need to update some of the libraries). I will remove the dust and check...

Yeah. Rename that .exe to .zip. Well, that's the first thing that came to my mind. I tried it before posting the question and it didn't work. Maybe that's only an issue with the MacOS X zip/unzip utility. I will try with another one or on Linux this evening. Edit: for some reasons most of the Mac u...

Thanks for your answers. But I am not ready to let you rest yet. I have two more questions. The first one is concern that version sold by Wyrmkeep. I think I missed something somewhere in your explanation md5. If I understand correctly, the trial version is actually the full game that need...

This is a bit confusing. Is there another demo or just these trials versions on the Wyrmkeep web site? The ScummVM demo page points to the Wyrmkeep web site for the ite demo, which from what I understand in Sev post is not supported by ScummVM. Maybe this should be precised on the demo page. And als...

for your information i was perfectly sober when posting that, and if you cant read that post, then may i suggest you get some good reading glasses  I also needed to read it twice before realizing it was a question. I think the main issues are with the first 'were' (should be we are or we're) ...

And guess what software they use to make this possible... :) Really? Their minimum requirements mention Windows XP or Vista and Direct X 7. But you know better than me. If they are going to sell a ScummVM friendly version of the Feeble Files it would really be interresting. It was a real pain to ma...

From the manual : Your game will run more smoothly if you copy all the files from the original disk(s) (whether floppy or CD) into a folder on your hard-drive. From the ReadMe (section 3.5) : In general, ScummVM does not deal very well with Multi-CD games. This is because ScummVM assumes everything ...

There is actually this topic where one of the Broken Sword 2.5 developers asked the question. It seems it cannot be done for the moment because of technical limitations in ScummVM.

It is normal that you cannot choose the game file. All files are greyed out since what you need to select when adding a game is the directory containing the file(s).

"Sam & Max Data" is actually a file, and it is the only file that you need to copy. Then you have to add the game in ScummVM by choosing the directory in which you copied the file). The problem is the file might be invisble on the CD. If you do a search on the forum you will find several topics ment...

31 Looks like I am the oldest for the moment. I am from a generation that played these games when they were released at the end of the 80s and 90s (it makes me feel old saying that). I remember in particular the CDs that were bundle with a mac we got in 96 (Full Throtle, Sam & Max and DOTT) although...

I hope I will not be slapped on the fingers for unearthing an old thread. Suddenly today I remembered that thread and went to look for the game web site and found it had (finally) been updated. The web site is still only in french but it is beginning to be more precise. They are now announcing a rel...
