Why do some scummvm games have their own F5 menu?

Having played several games in scummvm now, I'm intrigued as to why some have the original in-game load / save menu when you press f5 (e.g. fotaq, bs1, gobliiins), but others have the standard scummvm one (lucasarts ones). Why is this? Is it down to which games were reverse engineered and which were...

(Not got S&M here, but testing on ft.)

Does clicking the "Text and Speech" button until it says "Subtitles only" not work? I still get speech in cutscenes as well as the subtitles, but not in the game. Or did you want to remove speech in cutscenes too?

No fair! I couldn't even find a reference to it on ebay, in completed or open items! Where did you get your copies from, people? Is there a special hidden website where sellers of old adventure games go?

New Sam & Max game

I was reminded by seeing a Sam & Max thumbnail on the front page, that the first episode of the new Sam & Max game is now out: http://www.telltalegames.com/samandmax Some of the promo material looks pretty cool. Unfortunately I don't have a windows box with internet access so I can't play the demo. ...

Simon the Sorceror Double Pack

Hello all, I'm considering buying Simon 1 & 2, but before I do I figured I should make sure that these versions (the Double Pack that is advertised here: http://www.adventuresoft.com/acatalog/Simon_the_Sorcerer_games.html ) do actually play on ScummVM. There seem to be two different versions too, on...

Wow, thanks for all the replies! That's a bummer about the firmware on the psp... anyone know if there's any way to downgrade firmware? Will have to google it. Did Sony specifically block homebrew games then? I would ideally like to be able to play all the games I have, which includes mi3 and ft and...

Cheapest portable device to play ScummVM games on?

Been lurking for ages, and now have 12 ScummVM games. I also have two and a half hours of train journey every day, so I'm looking into getting a portable device to play all my wonderful games on. Since that is (in the first instance) the main use of the device, I'm looking for the cheapest one possi...
