I second Saulob. I'm a translator myself and don't feel the need to clutter the ScummVM forum with translation topics. We have our own dedicated circles for that. Of course there's still the occasional need to ask for some bit of info, but that can be done via the technical section, or even a featur...

They're not. That's the problem (for Roland).

You didn't search hard enough, young padawan... Munt is not quite dead yet (hopefully).

I've successfully opened the file, like i was able with ScummEx for that matter, but again, how do i play the file with Scumm Revisited ? What games are you trying to listen to? You can listen/extract sound files from The Dig and Full Throttle with Scumm Rev 2.0 (forget about version 5.1, it's unfi...

David Shadoff, Charles McDonald or Neill Corlett might be of some help in cracking the picture format.

I'm usually not fond of remixes or MIDI enhancements (heck, even some digital soundtracks from Quest Studios don't sound too great in my book), and I still think the MT-32 sounds better here, but I have to say your work is a very fine soundtrack. I suppose it means I like it :) Very good job, James....

DumpCD works fine under DOSBox, if CD/DVD drive is set to ASPI mode, at least under Windows XP. Ah, thanks for the heads-up. I've been using DOSBox in IOCTL mode for ages. Switching the cdrom flag to ASPI did the trick. I don't want to be the guy who will have to write the PCE ripping tutorial in t...

The PC Engine uses a unique CD format, so the dumpcd utility at Zeograd's lair must be used, to extract the code track. The filesize (6375424) from the dumpcd you used, looks correct, but seems like extracted data is different. As SanguineHearts noted, DumpCD only seems to work on a real DOS config...

I'm upping this thread in regards to the tidbits of work recently made on the TGX version of Loom. I've been eager to do some tests on this version with ScummVM ever since I donated a US copy to Ender a couple years ago. Problem is, I am still unable to use the extract tool on my ISO track (track_02...

The first Lucas game with MIDI (Roland MT-32) support was Loom in 1990. As Erik noted, all prior games used AdLib, PCjr or the speaker.

Depending on where you live, backup copies are perfectly legitimate. For example, the French law allows the user of any medium (music, movie, game) to create a backup copy for personal use. You can even bring companies to the court if they lock their products with anticopy protections which make the...
