Topic: DOTT (CD), can I omit MONSTER.SOU?

This was actually the default behaviour pre-0.8.0, and I have no idea why it was changed. Well, unfortunately, it's my experience as well that 0.8.0pre DID work better than 0.8.0. Especially after CVS 10/23/2005 many things got worse. For example some FMTOWNS Kanji games broke after above mentioned...

Isaac

I strongly recommend to use the ScummVM 0.8.0 tools to compress your soundfiles.

The full speech german version of DOTT can be obtained with the 10 Adventures Pack.

It includes all german games from Maniac Mansion to SamNMax, DOTT and SamNMax are included as German full-speech talkies.

Installing ScummVM and installing DOS-Games does not in any way change or harm your system. You can even download ScummVM as a zip file, then you do not have to install it at all. However, pirated software will never be supported by ScummVM. So don't even ask! And don't forget the risk of catching s...

Oh well, hundreds of post in just one big thread.

Are you sure that I can find any information there?

I haven't found anything regarding environment-variables so far.

Anyway, thanks for the help.

Has anyone any experience in using this file?

I overwrote the sdl.ini, created the batch file according to the readme, and tried some other stuff.

ScummVM opens, but I cannot move the cursor nor does scummvm react on any keystroke.

Best regards

Thanks for the tip!

WordPad works, I didn't know that.

I used a shareware program once to open *nix textfiles, but I didn't want to pay only to read textfiles.

Thank you

Great, this ReadMe has *nix linefeeds. Could you provide a Windows-Compatible ReadMe? Or even better, could you state examplary what to do here? I really like to use this SDL version to get my TabletPC pen to work with ScummVM in fullscreen mode. Oh, how MUCH I LOVE those incompatibilties, especiall...

Hm, I cannot reproduce this.

Are you sure you use the ENGLISH version of the game?

As of ScummVM 0.8.0 all english DOS versions (16&256) of LOOM register as "Loom (English (US)/DOS)".

Until then, be prepared for lots of FMTOWNS help threads and fan-translation-bugreports Well FM-TOWNS bugs are always low priority since we do not have any or only a few (I do not know of anyone) who own FM-TOWNS games in the team, so do not expect them to be fixed. I meant that as a joke. Not-So-T...

well it looks just strange now IMO. but anyway maybe these infos should be put on a special help page. I would suggest that also. Consider putting it on the documentation-page. The easier and more clearly you provide help to users, the less stupid questions will be.  I suggest to state...

well that could be done in one post, couldn't it? EDIT: Ahem, now, after I have edited the above posts you could be right. :D :D :D I wanted to make it easy for non-technical people. Considered how many users can't even use search-functions. Also, how long would that post be then? Regards Jo...

Re: screen shaking - wrong speed

Hi, I use ScummVM on an old 350Mhz PC with Windows 98 and an 8MB graphic card. The engine runs very efficient, I have no problems with speed or other graphical glitches and the games runs in original speed... Is this a "time control"-bug? You can't expect ScummVM to run 100% in Real-Time ...
