An amazing amount of cash was raised!!!

Excellent interview! Thanks to James, Sev, Strangerke & Lord Hoto for providing a lengthy interview that is both inspirational and informative. It was great to hear the passion and determination of those leading the project. And finally from me, thanks to everyone who has ever contributed to the pro...

I'd love a boxed copy of the game... but $110 (to the UK) is just too large a sum to layout. There's not enough detail on just where the $85 increase is being used (obviously I can understand the additional $10 shipping cost to the UK).

Thanks to all whose worked on the MT32 emulator and those who integrated it to the latest source. MT32 sounds from ScummVM are amazing - maybe not perfect but what a difference from before!

 I actually own that one! Hope to give it a go over the break but time is usually taken for non gaming things. Good news that yet another game is supported by ScummVM.

Still not sure I agree having a retry button would not remove something that Sierra [rightly or wrongly] used in their early adventure games. Having the ability to save "at any time" was powerful and it was up to the player to use it. If you didn't then when you inevitably faced one of the deaths yo...

The death actions/scenes were part of the charm for Sierra adventures. It was sure annoying when you had to retrace some steps, that's how they were designed/played so I'd stick with it. Not sure the more casual player would agree with my thoughts however :?:

There's always Universal Game Editor hosted at Sierra Help. Hopefully that'll work and be enough for your needs?!

Pretty much don't play games any longer but I'm picking this up :) Can only hope that the Balls of Steel edition will make its way to the UK. Shame the bust doesn't look as good as the Bioshock Big Daddy..

Shame 3DR pissed around so much and ended up losing the IP.

Why? Perhaps the team who started and continue to be a part of the project have focused on what they enjoyed the most?!

There are generally other options for other games - such as Dosbox - so you rarely be without options!

I was thinking about it, and honestly - if I could pick ANY KQ game to be remade, or in this case *demade*, it would be KQ8. I'd love to see KQ8 in the SCI pixel style of the KQ6 generation. Hell, I'd finally play it if that was the case. There was once something started but as the way of the web, ...
