It seems that there is now 2 options for the Win version of KQ5. The DOS CD version and the WIN CD version. I can play the MIDI music through the DOS CD one and it sounds great. But I can't seem to get any MIDI sounds at all through the WIN CD one.

EDIT: I'm using revision 54469

Wow, that's awesome how you were able to narrow down the prob! Hopefully one of the dev's can work it out from there :D

CD or floppy version of KQ5? EDIT: I just tried the CD version (only version I have on hand at the moment). I'm getting way over the top reverb, it sounds as if it's playing in a cathedral. Is that what you're hearing? It's the CD version. And yes, that's exactly what I'm hearing. Edit: I just trie...

I'll file a bug report on it, but wanted to post that KQ5's music through the MT-32 doesn't sound right. The tones are all off.

I'm using daily build 1.3 svn54236 and the function keys work fine for me. However, the + & - keys to increase or decrease speed don't work. Using Win7 Ultimate 32 bit

Yeah, it's gotta be a 64bit version issue. I have 32 bit Win7 Ultimate and have the fluidsynth option. Used it and it works fine with a soundfont I downloaded.

I bought an MT-32 back when KQ4 came out in 1988. I was 15 (really showing my age!). So for a kid barely working back then, saving up $530.00 took a long time. When I finally got it connected to the IBM PS/2 (which was a chore in itself since it used different hardware from other standard PC's), I c...

So, you think that after posting hundreds of screenshots on ScummVM's homepage, and using avatars, and openly supporting the playing of the games through your program, that if you had screen captures in the program itself, they'd suddenly decide to sue you for copyright infringement? I'm sorry, not ...

m_kiewitz, can you please explain the copyright infringement that would keep you from taking a snapshot of a game that ScummVM supports and not let you post that picture in the configuration setup? And how does it differ from the hundreds of screenshots you post on the ScummVM homepage, showing pics...

Currently there is no way of doing that. But there has been discussions about it, and the overall opinion is that it doesn't bother users enough to change it. You can always use DOSBox. It doesn't have the cursor.

Since it seems to be an attack on MusicallyInspired, saying he's the only one that wants this change, I 2nd his opinion. And I know not everyone is saying it's all him, but there have been a few posts (specifically by one dev) that seems to keep acting like he's alone in his wishes. Yes, I think the...

I think the best option is what was already suggested. Have an option added to a new or existing tab that lets you check/un-check dithered. I think the default option should be checked, or turned on.

I was looking through the files for ScummVM. Where can you go to enable/disable the dithered screens?

Just to throw in my 2 cents about the whole changing from the original. I personally don't care for most of the changes done to the AGI or SCI games. I prefer the old styled cursors that were used for Win KQ6. I don't care for having a cursor in the old AGI games. I'd prefer that ScummVM give the us...
