Sierra was actually very good about it compared to other companies. See how nearly all sierra games can be turned 'no-cd' by just copying files and editing a cfg file. The same can't be said for many other multi-cd games of any era.

Without also makes Guybrush look like a 6 year old toddler - albeit with a mullet - because of the fatty body proportions and short limbs.

There might have been some kind of art mixup...

Whatever happened to the in-progress AGS engine?

Meaning, is this never going to progress in scummvm anymore so i might as well start asking for Retroarch port of the existing open source ags engine?

Not only that, but the exe file self-modifies (for saving settings).

One of the points of these versions is to be able to play in dos, so i doubt any scummvm patch format will be taken up. But that is a good feature for users... i wanted to use it a while ago to replace the butt-ugly Gabriel Knight 1 cd main screen by the floppy one but wasn't able to do it (differen...

Their 'logic' is that since some of the data (even if it's a bitmap or something) was from a copy protected version and was imported into a version without copy protection this is a 'new' pirate version instead of a mod. It's what happened with the space quest IV text+audio patch. The reason why hi...

NewRisingSun has a few fixes for monkey 1 and 2. But you're going to need data from more than 2 (!) versions of the games and be proficient around Dos and dosbox. http://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=35820 Be warned scummvm often will not support larger NRS patches that take data off 1 or more ...

If you're going to consider application of that rule, which is legal bullshit, although you institute the rules you want, you might as well close down the whole topic, and blacklist any effort to port scummvm to them, since it's the only way you're going to run unsigned software on any modern console.

Is the vita even hacked so it can run software that isn't signed (unlike in the PSP where the private key was reverse engineered)?

A invasive change to the wrong engines, although i wonder if the parser based AGI/SCI wouldn't be easier.

Extracting that information from when it can be extracted into a common parser would be great indeed.

ags has ts own engine port: https://github.com/adventuregamestudio/ags It isn't perfect yet, (there are bugs on some games on linux, and the 'dll plugins' haven't been ported), but for instance, you can play the blackwell, primordia etc games. In fact i doubt that there is a game that will outright ...

The port of ags is opensource, so you can build it on linux - still need the game to play it obviously - from here: https://github.com/adventuregamestudio/ags/commits/master currently the only problem is on systems with pulseaudio because the library they use (allegro) doesn't have a pulseaudio driv...

What if we do own the floppy version too, such as in some of the compilation CDs? Is there hope?
