I've noticed that in some lucasarts games that the scummvm option screen replaced the original, is this the plan ...

Just enable Mixed Adlib/MIDI mode.

PhiloHippus wrote:By the way, I noticed the wiki article with the sci games list being tested lists "King's Quest IV (Old)". The old KQ4 is the AGI version, shouldn't it be off this list?
There are 2 SCI versions of King's Quest 4. That's what is meant by old and new KQ4.

Gabriel Knight 2 is not supported at all, it's 100% work in progress and not meant for the public. All SCI2-SCI2.1 games are working painfully slow currently because we just needed to get the graphics somewhat working - it's not supposed to be fast in any way. Better try out SCI0-SCI1.1 games. Those...

Small point, but only one of them is an AGI game, two are SCI.
It's the old SQ1, so actually 2 AGI, 1 SCI.

been playing KQ6 win with the new svn and things seems to be fine. There is something, however, that i may be miss-remembering, but i think that originally, if you've spoken with rotten tomato and the book worm's friend in the inventory, you should see their lips move and not just hear them. That i...

you mean in the original EXE? i'm not sure if that's true, because someone once tried "patch" the windows version by using the exe from larry 6 or something and the windows cursors worked fine there, and i doubt they put KQ cursors on lsl exe. or maybe they did, i donno. That's right. I just checke...

on another note, the windows version supposed to have different type of cursors (all white) ... win ver has the same cursors as the dos version. Afaik those were hardcoded inside the windows 3.11 interpreter. The scripts ask for the regular cursors and we set them that way. We even upscale them (in...

iMuse is not gone. Those reviews don't know what they are talking about. Like I said above, it's not exactly the same as the MIDI version, but it's indeed there. They're review is quite misleading. Hmm, i just downloaded the demo from PSN. Right at the start when you enter a hut, the music changes ...

http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3180274 According to this: - iMuse is completely gone - digital music isn't really accurate - Parts of original intro (dancing monkeys) and credits were removed - Easy difficulty removed - around 30 minutes of commentary in total - "Hacked-In" autosave mode and e...

It's Sony who is removing the option.. And what should they have done? Fixing that one hole would have cost money, would have introduced speed issues and maybe game issues as well and the hacker(s) would have looked for other exploits inside the hypervisor using linux. Keeping OtherOS support would...

Well, the reason why Sony is removing the OtherOS is already working on a custom firmware to bring back OtherOS (which also means other groups will use his work to go for running illegal games), so Sony only made the problem worse for themselves by removing the option. Not really. Geohot (the moron...
