It's not really up to the application developers, it depends on if an exploit (or another way to run code) is found, so hard to say/predict. Even homebrew on 2.00 is limited, as you have to use the libtiff exploit and the EBOOT loader. Noone has found out how to get into kernel mode yet on 2.00, so ...

Also, the "Passport to Adventure" demo runs fine here on my 1.50 FW PSP with the 0.8.0 release.

I don't own the DOS Floppy version, so I haven't tested it.
I tried the linux demo of ITE a couple of weeks ago on a 1.50 unit and it was working fine.. maybe you could give that version a try and see if it works to narrow down the problem.

I'm not sure if what you suggest is possible to implement in a clean way, since it sounds very game-specific.
I do have some changes/improvements in mind, and one of them is better use of the d-pad.

Stay tuned..

I don't know, I don't have a 2.00 firmware PSP.
I've heard from numerous people that it works fine though, so it must be something on your end.

It's actually quite playable on a 512M memory stick (and they're not that expensive) if you strategically compress and use the "1 CD at a time" method I described. You can also play the demo version of COMI (although its font is quite hard to read on PSP) while you wait for memory stick prices to dr...

Just like you'd play any other game; by copying the datafiles to the memory stick. Since COMI is 2 CDs, you'd need a >= 1GB stick to fit the entire game. There are tools (the ScummVM tools package) for compressing the speech, music and cutscenes of COMI, with which you can bring the total size of th...
