Monkey Island 1 - How to find out about yellow petals?

This actually bothered me for years...

When I first played MI1, I never figured out how to get past the piranha poodles, so I found out about the yellow petals in a online FAQ.

My question is; how do I find out in-game about the petals?

Re: EFMI gamepad?

JoyToKey doesn't work very good at all with EFMI.

Could you possibly point me towards that key mapping tools?

It DOES work, only not very good... ;-)

Re: EFMI gamepad?

Oh I see. You mean something like JoyToKey? I agree that would probably work.

Re: EFMI gamepad?

The game does not seem to take any gamepad command for me at least. :-(

I got curious; would it be possible to break out the fixes for all the original bugs and apply them to a standard DOS CD-version?

EFMI gamepad?

EFMI is the only one of the "originals" that I haven't played yet.

Is it at all possible to run it with a gamepad in ResidualVM?

Re: PC original vs PS4/PC remastered?

I ended up playing the PS4 version and it's really great. :-)

PC original vs PS4/PC remastered?

I played GF many times when it came out, but never got through it all. I've been waiting for proper ResidualVM support before playing through it all. What would represent the best way to play it now? The PS4 version really looks good, and the revamped controls sound good to me as I never liked the t...

Does not work.

I did notice that this only happens when using OpenGL in ScummVM, but there are no other mode that look as good IMO. Argh.

Sorry, I'm late on this topic, but any suggestions? I'm running a nVidia GPU if that in some way matters...

Lock mouse to 4:3 screen ratio?

When using 4:3 ration, are there some way to lock the mouse cursor so that it won't move outside the image box?

The last status I got is: the game is freeware but not available on their site, and the original sources are lost. The engine written by cyx is working great but using some on-the-fly interpreter of the executable assembly, and this technique has been rejected. The standalone engine of cyx is avail...

A bit OT but maybe related; in KQ3, fast and fastest setting have no impact on either time speed or movement speed. Something have to be off with AGI I think.
