The only way to run scummvm on 2.01/2.5/2.6 is to use the GTA hack - i.e. you need a copy of GTA Liberty City Stories to do it.

I had those games on my PC long ago but the discs have long since been lost :/ edit: the BS1+2 dvd costs £4.99 from sold out, +£2 for shipping to Ireland. Probably cost...

Yeah, the loader allows this - use the shoulder buttons to set CPU speed in the loader before launching scummvm.

You need the updated eloader config file. Get it off www.fanjita.org.

I can't help you with your problem, but i'm just leaving a note here to say that my BS2 CD's do the same thing - dvd drive spins them like crazy but can't read :/

Sam & Max CD talkie version works too - but again, no sound so you will need to turn on subtitles to know what's going on. Pity really, its (the eloader) getting so close, but no sound really is a pain in the ass.

Are you sure those two people were not actually proxy servers used by many users?

Anyone know where I can get Suse 10 packages of recent versions of SCUMMVM -- preferably x86_64 versions. Most that I can see on google are really old versions (0.6.x)

CDex is a good and free program to rip mp3s from CD on Windows.
