Just tried the latest Windows build. Looks like it now recognizes the datausr.lab I made on my Mac. Nice one.

If you followed my recipe above, notice that I never mentioned "sudo make install", besides I wouldn't really install the residual-tools as system-wide tools at this point. Not on a Mac, certainly. Linux? Go for it. But Apple has chosen to keep the system part of the file system segregate...

It certainly surprised me. And there's nothing in the ResidualVM log in Windows about the file, so it's as if it's not aware that it's even there. But that doesn't really help you, does it.

Maybe this is the way it has to be, but it looks like datausr.lab isn't all that portable. I created mine on my PPC Mac and it seems to work. I don't have a saved game from the factory island so I can't exactly test it out, but when I start GF I get the expected warning. But that doesn't happen on m...

Thanks, somaen. I tried to find the info myself but I don't really know my way around github very well.

Grimfan33, sorry for the confusion, but I when I asked about graphic adapters, I was intending that in response to somaen's aspect-ratio problem.

What sort of graphics adapter do you have? If it's Nvidia I may have an answer for you. If not, I'd be useless. Also, a little while ago I saw that antialiasing support was added to ResidualVM and a request to update the readme. Since that hasn't happened yet, I wonder what the config file entry sho...

But he's not describing a bug with ResidualVM. He's talking about copying the required files from the CDs to the hard drive, and it's a copy-protection thing.

There was a forum topic on this a while back. Here it is. Hope that helps.

The environment is made up of pre-rendered 800x600 images. So, that's a problem. You couldn't just re-size them and have it look good.

I'm the one who extracted those dialog clips (using Scumm Revisited) and since then have found where and when the "custard" line can be heard: when giving Meche Domino's mouthpiece after you've filled it with Fill-a-Dent but before you have Manny bite on it. Some people have said they've r...

You have to manually edit the ResidualVM configuration file to enable fullscreen as that's not yet possible through the GUI. It's a simple matter of changing fullscreen=false to fullscreen=true , but where the configuration file is located (and what it's exact name is) depends on your OS. Take a loo...

And it is EA. And one of the first titles to be released is Ultima Underworld. So, I must be Nostradamus or something for having thought of Ultima in conjunction with this.

That we will. But I expect it to be EA as well. Because what we really need are a bunch of old sport sims. But that's not really fair. And I would expect that GOG would package the old Ultimas a lot better than the Ultima Collection CD did.

Microsoft is out now as well. So it does look like it will come down to one company's games being added.

Not only that, but I found that because I had already bought BS2 through GOG that I now just automatically own the remastered version as well. I'm not about to argue with that. 8)
