ScummVM on stock devices via MacBuildServer

Recently there has been news regarding a GameBoy Advance emulator for iOS that can be installed on stock (non-jailbroken, non-developer) devices called GBA4iOS. https://github.com/rileytestut/GBA4iOS The developer is achieving this by using a new site called MacBuildServer.com - this site aims to be...

While I aknowladge that doing a truly native UI on the same level of Boxer is impossible for a project like ScummVM, I do think there are some concepts that could be easily used. Specifically the concept of game packages, and the process of creating those packages from the user's original media. Sup...

I know that the file sharing issue is a tricky one. Apple's terms dictate that while apps CAN run interpreted code, they cannot load external files via iTunes if doing so. However, I think iDOS has shown us that it is possible to technically meet their terms while skirting the issue. The app cannot ...

Could always use in-app "purchasing" to provide the freeware games, possibly get publishers to sell their old games via it as well (all they'd have to do is OK it, no work porting! Sounds like an easy sell to me) I also personally think that, while it would take time, a apple-native GUI fo...

The emulator does allow you to type in your own code and run it, but does not use iTunes file sharing to load any "pre-written" code. Instead they use in-app purchasing to "sell" (some are free) additional C64 games. So yes, you can enter in and run your own code, but it has to b...

Apple has since allowed the version WITH the Basic interpreter back into the store, not hidden at all.

Are there any nightly builds of the tools available anywhere?

I would like to compress my SCI games, but I'm not having any luck building the tools for OSX myself :(

[Suggestion] Dropbox Integration for Saves

So on my various Macs I use Dropbox to keep my saves in sync between machines — a trivial thing to achieve on a full computer, not so easy on a mobile device. It would be really nice if I could somehow use Dropbox to also keep those saves in sync with my iOS devices. Unfortunately the Dropbox app in...

I'm not trying to say that the current system is at all difficult — it's not. You are 100% right in saying that it would add very little benefit to users of the desktop version and the only reason to implement this feature would be to jump a hurdle with Apple's current implementation of app file sha...

@LordHoto — I understand your reasoning behind refusing to add that feature , but at the same time I don't entirely agree with it. True it will save some time for people who choose to pirate the games, but it will only save them all of 10 seconds (right now they just zip up the folder anyways, and u...

A simple solution to the folder problem would be to put the games into a simple zip container (like comics do with cbz and cbr extensions). This would be a nice feature to add to ScummVM proper anyways, then games could be packed into an easy "Game.scummz" file, possible contain an xml fil...

As of the iPhone OS 3.2 (on the iPad) files can be transferred into and out of apps via iTunes. Chiffa's link is just showing how it works. This would allow users to load ScummVM games without having to add a webDAV server or other type of hackish wifi solution. The iPhone should also gain this abil...

I would almost really like to see a partial-hybrid of the two. In landscape mode, I think it would be nice to have an option for to lower right extreme of the screen to be a right-click without moving the cursor. Reasoning: I'm playing sam & max, right click cycles through your cursors. The prob...
