Re: scummvm.ini in ScummVM root dir

Since they moved the ini to the Appdata folder, I am using a Batch file for myself. All my ScummVM games are in D:\ScummVM. The content of ScummVM.zip I saved in D:\ScummVM\Data. I can move this everywhere I want and it will work. Only possible problematic settings are usually the Graphics Settings,...

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)

Jim Leonard upscaled Gabriel Knight 2 video from 308x167 playing back at 10fps, and uploaded to YouTube at 720p60 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6HJndgXMKYY This was done back in 2018 so who knows whats possible now. A while back I did a small test with GK2 videos with still then beta version of G...

Re: Blazing Dragons Set ScummVM Aflame

In the original game you had to press Start button on the PS1 Controller to get the menu up. Unfortunately this menu is currently not yet supported, so only the Ctrl+F5 general Menu is working at the moment. I also created a Ticket where I suggested to use F5 for easier and more accepted game menu c...

Re: ScummVM “Interactive Fantasy” 2.2.0 Sees the Light

Because of your post, I wanted to test the game, long time not played, didn't know it was supported by ScummVM. But the Bug 11677 render testing the english translation useless, when half the text is missing. I am happy to test it when this bug is fixed.

Re: file non used in Full Throttle

People asked already before, it seems these are files left over from the development process and never dropped because they had enough space thanks to be fully developed for CD. Games before were released also on floppy disk, and every KB was literally money, so they were optimized to the max. Full ...

Re: Blazing Dragons Set ScummVM Aflame

Thank you, I was able to pass the mini-game. Btw: I am owning only the german version, which except the cutscenes seems to work mostly fine, is there feedback also welcome or only on the us/uk version?

Re: Blazing Dragons Set ScummVM Aflame

Yes, I found this (didnt know it existed) before, but there is no PSX mapping to choose from, but the default Windows keymaps like F5 etc. Nothing PSX related.

Re: Blazing Dragons Set ScummVM Aflame

How are the buttons mapped to the keyboard? I can't complete the dancing game without the R and L buttons. WASD und the arrow keys seems to be the front buttons, but no clue about R1,R2,L1 and L2.

Re: ESRGAN: AI Neural Net Upscaling (For HiRes Packs?)

If I understand DLSS and FidelityFX (AMD) correct, its all based on presets made on the high resolution, so instead of really rendering e.g. the 4K, the cards know roughly how the graphic should look like based on the preset and make it look like it is the actual resolution. I highly doubt that this...

Re: Games are sorted in GUI ignoring the articles

Then I would add the option to sort by series instead of title (or release year). I would really like to have the original title of Monkey Island 1,2,3 in order, currently I just put them as Monkey Island in ScummVM, which is the simple solution. But as the amount of titles is, a hidden hardcoded al...

Re: Best version of Discworld

If I understood the information available correctly, the first version of Discworld is based on the original Tinsel Engine, which used GRA files (likely for Graphics). While working on Discworld 2, they also improved the Tinsel Engine. One major change was the switch from GRA files to SCN (likely fo...

Re: Removed games? (detection engine and other reasons)

As I was lurking the M4 Engine process since several years, I can definitely say that it was never in a playable state and also since several years absolutely no development. Its sad, as I was hoping for progress, but for the ScummVM project its better to remove it until someone with experience and ...

240000 USD is pure insanity, even such great composers like Chris Hülsbeck ask for less as 100k USD.

The Audio Files are all common OGG Files, but they don't have the same file names. Most of them seem to have very similar file names, but I am not sure. If I have time to spare, I will check them out and maybe offer a Batchfile.
