It isn't impossible at all, I put together a working iPhone-version by patching a bit on the ScummVM-iPhone-port, the only thing that didn't really work at all, was the controls, which, since I was only interested in testing it for speed, I simply mapped to the keyboard, so going forward meant tapp...

Topic: Any reason why flac not supported?

(I know this is an old thread but I didn't see him getting an answer in any other thread.) I would say it depends on whether ScummVM decodes the audio formats itself or if it lets Android handle the decoding. My guess is the latter. Android doesn't currently have official support for flac. Some cust...

That would require: * OpenGL ES-support in-engine (Currently we only use OpenGL 1.5) * Someone that knows Android * Quite a lot of optimization (Androids are quite slow compared to the modern desktop-computer, and ResidualVM is also quite slow right now, just check the cpu-usage). Yes that is true ...

Yes, controls might need some figuring out. An Android port would be a dream come true. Just being able to play it without it locking up my main computer (don't know why, everything else runs flawlessly) is something I've been hoping for for a long time. Great work! Thankfully the Android version of...

Is it just me or doesn't the "Correct aspect ratio" option work yet in 1.2.0? Also, I got crashes when trying to add my games but after trying a few times I succeeded without it crashing and since then it seems to work fine apart from the scaling option. This is on CM 6.1 nightly and the n...

and more I did not have plan to create a port for android, but I very much wanted to try to run ScummVM on my device and decided to try Do you mind changing the package name? It makes installing your other apps impossible because Android considers them the same. :( Also, if possible please change t...

I'm so glad I randomly checked this forum again. I had almost given up on ScummVM for 2.x. Just tried it out on my Nexus running 2.2. Except for the flickering at the sides (the would-be letterboxing) in COMI it seems to be working great. I could also try it on a Magic running 2.1 (whatever the late...

The port runs great. It would be nice if the Magic was taken into consideration. There are a lot of phones coming up without hardware keyboard so it should be worth doing. :) I agree completely :) I've been working on other stuff lately so haven't had time to work out how to fire up the onscreen ke...

Yeah, I played through to Big Whoop on the ipod. If you really can't get past the sea battle you could always copy the save from the ipod and use it with the PC or OSX version. Then you can play past that part and copy your new save back to the ipod and continue there.

Known issues with the version: * In portrait mode, the keyboard shows up, but the main screen doesn't. * Capitalization is always on initially for the keyboard. * COMI cutscenes will likely be a bit slower than usual, due to some assembly versions of relevant code not being included yet. * The stat...

After all it's Apple so no surprise there. A lot of great apps will probably still require jailbreaking anyway because of the license so it's not really a problem. It could become a real problem when Apple closes down all loop holes in a future firmware update and there will be no jailbreak availab...
